Yay! Started looking at RHs! (Finally!)

Hey Ladies!

I introduced myself here a week or two ago but sorta disappeared...work's been hectic (which is a good thing, in this economy) and some family stuff had me feeling a bit upset lately.

However, I am happy to report that last weekend FH and I visited our first RH and have three to look at this coming Saturday - following that, we're hoping to pick a place and get the ball rollin'! Exciting! FH was all weird and guy-like about going to look at places until we actually got there...then he got all into it and asked all sorts of great questions. I was surprised! Maybe he lurks on LIW

my FH was the same way too LOL. He didn't want to hear any wedding related issues until I made him come to see RH, he actually all of a sudden had all these demands as what kind of RH he wants to have HIS wedding at

Congrats! I didnt think FH would care about location...but once I narrowed them down he was very opinionated.

Congrats...the RH thing can be fun and stressful at the same time...LOL. But, I enjoyed how they usually pamper you at the first meeting. We always went on Sundays and there was usually a wedding or 2 going on. So we were dressed up a bit, they walked us around a lot since we were dressed....wined and dined us too.... FH LOVED this part. Where are you looking...maybe some of us can offer you quotes so you get an idea.....

That is so exciting!!! I only brought my FH to the ones that I liked and he was totally into it. -- Which is so surprising because his typically response has been 'If you like it, then its fine with me.'
I actually hated looking at RHs, I was so stressed out and couldn't find the 'it' place until yesterday - actually -- Its great you are enjoying it and if you ever feel overwhelmed we are all here for you!!!!

And PS- we LOVE details!! where did you go this weekend and where else are you looking!!!!!

We've looked at the Swan Club , and this coming weekend we're going to be checking out Crest Hollow, the Thatched Cottage and the Mansion at Timber Point.

We actually had another appointment scheduled for the day which I need to cancel...just didn't like the vibe I got from the person on the phone. Very 'used-car-salesman', which I don't dig at ALL. One of the many benefits of being a born-and-bred New Yorker...you come with a b.s. detector built right in. How handy!

If your looking to have a wedding with less than 200 people check out the Sans Souci in sea cliff. By far the best kept secret out there.
