So last night FH and I went to a DJ showcase and booked him! Yeay our first vendor booked!!
The DJ was kinda shocked when we told him our wedding was June of 2010 not 2009 lol.. but a good advantage of booking early was that although they were raising up their basic package prices $100 for 2010 they agreed to have our extras remain the same as 2009 prices (FH wanted a steel drum player during CH and I wanted a photo montage) even if they decide to raise them later.
I sound like a dork, but i couldn't sleep last night because i was all excited thinking about my wedding! haha.
Our next vendor we wanna book is a photographer/videography. Our RH recommends the following places:
Patken Cassarino Sherwood-Triart Proline Studios
If any of you have been to any of them and gotten pricing would you mind FMing them to me (or any other studio that you liked for that matter)? I don't know if its possible but the most i wanna spend on a photo/video package is 5k..
Thanks ladies!!

Re: yeayyy booked my first vendor!
We booked FM Entertainment, alot of girls on here had mentioned that their prices were good and they did a good job at their weddings, so i decided to see them.
Plus if you go to their private band showcase they give you $100 towards any extras you may want (ex- montage, club lights, percussionist, dancing on a cloud, etc..)
So FH and I decided we prob weren't going to get the same price anywhere else (my sister is paying about 1k more than me for a DJ/MC package plus a few extras) and we booked.

I have heard that Sherwood Triart is on the expensive side. Depending on what you want in your package Proline has ones that would fit your budget. I would check out Thomas Paul as well as Duet. THey are very reasonablely priced and their work is great!

Re: yeayyy booked my first vendor!
Congrats on booking your DJ!! Entertainment is sooo important for a wedding.
JT reccommends the same vendors!! We have checked out Patken and Cassarino's. I'm not at home so I do not have the prices but when I get them I'll FM them to you! (From what I remember patken was pretty reasonable and you will see many positive things about them on this site)

Re: yeayyy booked my first vendor!
I've heard bad things about Patken, they are impersonable and takes forever to get pics back. Sherwood Triat starts at $3695. I am going to Proline at the end of the month and they seem really ncie and more reasonable.

Re: yeayyy booked my first vendor!
yay, Congrats!
Sherwood Triart, I have been told can be around 8k for both if you want albums.
Cassarino has a package for around 1695 for photo with no albums, the first package with albums is around 2495, and 1695 for video, this does not include photojournalism.
Patken, I dont think I have any info on
Proline, the package Info I have starts at 2495 for photo and 1995 for video
I am also a Fox Hollow Bride, I went with Duet. We are getting photo and video with albums, engagement shoot, chaptered dvds, etc for just under 5k including tax. FM me if you want more info on what we got.
