I just came across the 'official Yes-no response ratio' thread and I am suddenly VERY NERVOUS! FH and I want to stay as close to our minimum as possible so that we dont go over budget--and because we like the number of guests-- we dont want the wedding to be TOO big that we cant enjoy our guests--- but I just looked at what the numbers are and I dont know what to do!! We have to meet our minimum-- AH! We had SUCH a hard time getting rsvps for our eparty!! People are so rude! Don't they realize that we're paying by the head?!?! UGH!! I was thinking of a blsit but I dont want people to know that they're blisted!!
So, I ask you this.... Oh wise '08 brides... what is your minimum and how many guests do you plan to invite?
ETA: let me add this to the question: how many do you expect to say yes???

Min 95 Inviting about 140-- trust me they won't come eeevvvveryooonnne from really far away and cheap they won't travel especially to NYC there's muggin's and thems gangs in NYC...

I have been kinda stressing about this. We have to guarantee 225 and I was planning to invite 250. My FH is from MD, so his friends and family come from there. I would say about 100ppl are OOT. Do you think I am cutting it too close? I was considering going to the RH and asking if they would lower the minimum. What do you ladies think?

My minimum is 200. We are inviting 300. If we dont make our minimum we just invite more people lol! We work for the same company (in difference cities) so we can invite anyone from work and they would be glad to come!

Our min is 200... we'll probably invite about 250 and hopefully around the minimum will come... about 210 would be ok. We have alot of out of town guests so hopefully they'll still come and we'll make our minimum! Gotta get those save the dates out soon!

we guaranteed 175, the invite list is over 300. we definitely want to keep the total under 200.
