Yes- No

I just came across the 'official Yes-no response ratio' thread and I am suddenly VERY NERVOUS! FH and I want to stay as close to our minimum as possible so that we dont go over budget--and because we like the number of guests-- we dont want the wedding to be TOO big that we cant enjoy our guests--- but I just looked at what the numbers are and I dont know what to do!! We have to meet our minimum-- AH! We had SUCH a hard time getting rsvps for our eparty!! People are so rude! Don't they realize that we're paying by the head?!?! UGH!! I was thinking of a blsit but I dont want people to know that they're blisted!!

So, I ask you this.... Oh wise '08 brides... what is your minimum and how many guests do you plan to invite?

ETA: let me add this to the question: how many do you expect to say yes???

We have to guarantee 150 people. I hope to only have about that or a little more. I dont know where I will get the money if there are more people than that. We are inviting about 180 so hopefully most will say yes. We are going to have 2 lists. One is a backup incase we get alot of NO's but as far as we know, everyone will be there.

me too!

My minimum is 140 and we are inviting a little more than that. Not sure of the exact count yet. But I also have not so much a back up list but a maybe list depending on how many people we invite and if we think that is too little.

FH has alot of out of town people and his mom swears they are not going to come

we are having it at El Caribe in Brooklyn...We are having it in the Tiara room which is the bigger room, however they do have a room with a 150 gurantee. If I exceeded the min i didnt want the tables too cluttered in the smaller room..

OMG!! When we looked at JT we thought their min were high-- but they didnt even tell us that number!! They had the min that they told us for the one room at only 10ppl below where they said it would me 'tight'-- so we felt there was no room for error!! You must have A LOT of friends!

The funny part is that i personally am not inviting that many people...Fh's family is HUGE, he is the one who has groups of friends, and then my parents side and who they invite...Im the only one who didn't go crazy but i am the one dealing with it

no not everyone gets that minimum at JT...the dome room is less, the penthouse is less, and even with the skylight they either do just half the room which would be less or the full room which is what were getting so that is why
