Yes to the dress!
I went shopping today and said yes to the dress! Went to RK Bridal, tried on 6 gowns and the last one was it! It's half of what I was expecting to get. I got a lace gown, but was not expecting it to be strapless. My FMIL and my sister were big helps today! I was in and out pretty quickly.
Excuse my red face, it was really hot in the store!!
Dress is Voyage by Mori Lee style 6763
RK Bridal tips:
-Know what you want
-Print out pics from their site
-Go at a not busy time (middle of the day, during the week)
-Bring 2 people. Anymore and it will be overwhelming
-It also looks like they will be moving the store in September-ish. Heads up if anyone is looking to go there in the future.
-You get a free canvas tote bag!

Yes to the dress!
I believe they are moving to 50th st, so only 10 blocks up. I didn't catch the street number, I think it was on the sign out front.

Not only did I have a budget, but I'm also a plus size girl (an added challenge). Every dress I tried on in my range was quality though! I'd say one dress I tried on, my FMIL said 'it looks dated'. tbh, I would've been happy with any dress I tried on, but I was really looking for lace and nothing too formal. I'm actually considering making it tea length. I'm actually quite excite what I can do with the lace when my wedding is over.
I didn't even get to the off the rack section, lol! The plus size section, while a decent size, I was expecting a little bit more, maybe I was a little overwhelmed. I would say they definitely had more than most in plus size.

Yes to the dress!
And I just received an email that the store is moving to 619 West 54th Street (will be on the 5th floor). It's wayyyyy on the west side of town. RK Bridal, where it is, is way walkable from Penn.

The lace is so beautiful... I want a lace dress with 3/4 sleeves... If you make it tea length, you should see if you can keep the part they take off... idk if thats possible or not but I had a coworker who made her children's christening outfits out of parts of her dress which is such a cute idea

They do!
I had printed out a couple of Mori Lee dresses from their site, but they only had one of them in stock and in a size 10. LOL, the attendant got me into the dress though somehow. That dress was my second choice. (It was another Voyage dress style 6778).
I'm also considering losing the belt sash and having a green sash instead.
