Yesterday I was on the beach...

Yesterday I was on the beach...

...and now I'm back in NYC.
Sigh.
My parents' Halloween party (a week earlier than the holiday) was amazing - every room of the house was decorated in a different Halloween theme...all gore and ghosts and overall creepy stuff. Loved it. I have pics but haven't had time to upload 'em - just got in a little while ago.
My parents also hired a tarot card reader (seriously, my parents know how to throw a party - first task after FH and I arrived was to get the casket they rented and the Jeffrey Dahmer fridge they rented from the prop company to their house ) and the tarot card reader was SPOT ON with a couple of things. Very strange, but comforting too. For example, I'm looking into a federal position and it would require me to be away for training for a few months. Only a few people know this. It was one of the first things she said to me. Let's hope she was wrong about having twin boys in three years. Oy.
Went to the beach yesterday - my favorite place, Siesta Key. Kicked some butt at mini-golf. Saw my grandpa and great-grandma. Awesome.

It's not fair.

I love the rain, but to wake up to it on your first day back in NYC from FL is not pleasant.

Here's to hoping work goes by quickly.
