Yesterday was my shower!! (long)
OMG, I really had no idea. I went yesterday for my trial on my hair (I will post pics soon). I was surpose to be going to my friends sons baptism. The invitation said that the church is at 11:30 out in Brightwaters but the reception is to follow in Casa Bianca in Queens. So I figured I am not driving all the way out there for the church so I will get my trial and only go the the party. I went to get my hair done at 10am. I finished at 12:30. My FH called me and was like what is taking so long, I said I am on my way home, but dont worry we have time. If the church is at 11:30, figure a half hour or more for the baptism and then an hour to drive back.
Ok well, my friend called me when I was almost there at 1pm and said, 'where are you? You are never late, you are the only one not here and we are about to do a toast for the baby.' I told her I went to get my hair done, I am sorry!!
I get there and she is outside. She is like, wow your hair looks great and you are overly dressed. I was like really, I didnt know. So she said come in but I told her that I am waiting for my FH he is parking the car. While I was outside and a woman that I never met was like Hi how are you congratulations. So I was like ok, maybe she knows that I am getting married. So she introduced herself and she was one of the people that I sent an invite to. My FH moms friend. SO I said, how do you know them? She said we are here for your shower.
At that point I didnt know what to do. I didnt want to go inside. I wasnt ready for that I was ready for a baptism. I then walked in and SURPISE!!!
Lets just say, WOW..... I got everything!!! The best was, my friend got me a wedding outfit for my build a bear!! I had to dress it up. Yes I have a build a bear. LOL
Everything else I picked out from the registry. I got some editable undies and sexy stuff too.
My FH actually kept a secret. I couldnt believe it.
