I didnt see a post on this topic,,,does anyone know what happened?
Traffic was backed up for miles and they closed the lane going westbound.
I live in East Islip and I saw all the traffic and heard helicopters...

I heard two bicyclists got hit by a truck and one of them died. Does anyone know exactly where it happened? It took my BIL four hours to get from Holbrook to Islip.

I got stuck in it!!!!!!!!!!!! so did my FH. all I heard were 'serious injuries'.
what I want to know is, why the hell can't they move the accident in more than 2 hours time?? it was still there at 7pm when my FH FINALLY passed it. I think it happened before 5pm.

If someone dies in the accident, then they have to mark it as a crime scene, and it has to be investigated.

There are just so many accidents out there lately - I am afraid to answer the phone sometimes
It is just soooo sad!
I heard there was another really bad one this morning - where the tanker accident was a couple of weeks ago.

I hear ya, loud and clear...ive lost so many people in car accidents, that i get panicky and nervous often when i know people close to me are driving...esp fh, mom and dad...HELLO this is everyday- i panic often!

I was stuck in traffic for an hour going westbound between hospital rd to Broadway Ave...rite after wavetly Ave very very bad 1 car 2 trucks accident...got up to it when everything except cars we're moved..very bad..an SUV..had a bigger truck on top of it and the other car was so mangeled ya couldn't even tell what kind it was..unfortunately I think there were fatalities because there we're yellow shrouds in the street by the suv.very disturbing...very upsetting to see..god bless the families
