Yet again, ANOTHER bid rejected

Yet again, ANOTHER bid rejected

This was the house for us and we loved it, but we cant afford to go any higher than our final bid, and its only 15K away from hers, yet there is mold in the basement due to improper grading in the front of the house and if we moved in i would need that extra 15K to fix that....so now we move on again..we see so much but nothing i like.. this is very frustrating.

Suzanne, dont be said. Who wants a moldy house anyway? You will find your home and there wont be any hassles.

Good Mission Accomplished. Hey where are you looking again?

We went out last Sunday to Open Houses in Merricak and there were some nice homes out there. Some were a little too high for me, but maybe its what you are lookign for.

Let me know.

Suzanne- I am sorry I know you really liked that house. The mold can be a problem, so like they say 'it may be for the best'. I am telling you, you will find the perfect house!!!

We will start looking withing the next couple of weeks (want to get contract on this house first). We are getting a lot of traffic and some offers, so hopefully it won't be long. We went to a few open houses on Sunday and I can not believe the ba$$S some people have, a - showing their homes in the condition they are in and b- asking the prices they are asking.

Wacky - Good luck to you also. I know we will all find our perfect houses!!

Thanks Liz - You too. Suzanne, there definitely will be other homes that you will love

Re: Yet again, ANOTHER bid rejected

Your bid was rejected because this isn't 'your' house. You'll see... when the perfect house for you comes along everything will work out!

In the meantime, hang in there and try not to get discouraged. It's a tough market, but you're tougher!!

This wasnt the one. You dont want to deal with a moldy damp basement. I know people who have tried everything to fix them, spent a ton of money and are still not 100% dry.

Re: Yet again, ANOTHER bid rejected

Hang in there .. it's true .. your house is still out there.

When we initially started look for houses, we were finding houses that had as many as 15 offers and counting on them!! We patiently waited .. took a few weeks off from the search .. then, when we got back into it .. the first day with a new agent seemed like much of the same old .. we saw 3 houses .. the one we loved already had an accepted offer .. we chose not to leave a 'just in case' bid, meaning a bid that would be submitted if something fell through with the one in progress.

Well, two days later, the agent called with something new on the market .. a house style we loved, but had given up on because after seeing so many we thought it wasn't practical .. but, we decided to go .. because we wanted to keep this agent working for us .. well .. long story short .. I knew when we pulled up to the house in the dark that it was for us .. we made an offer right after leaving the house .. and the owners accepted .. and here we are.

Your house is still out there.

Hang in there Suzanne - I know how you feel. My DH and I are in the same boat. I keep telling myself that our house is out there.

It is so difficult though when you find a house you love, make a bid and then can reach a successful price.

I'm another firm believer that things happen for a reason. You will find your home! Offers on a house can fall through, but if this home doesn't work out - that just means that your home is still out there waiting for you!

Don't worry, Suzanne, you will find a better house that doesn't have a gross mold problem

Suzanne,

I am so sorry this house did not work out but it wasn't meant to be. I think mold can be toxic in some cases??

The right house is STILL out there waiting for you. Don't be discouraged. It sometimes becomes a long process but these things happen so that when the right house comes along you will know for sure and appreciate all you went through to get it. Keep looking and don't give up!!

Suzanne..hang in there. Like someone said, it is NOT your house if it wasnt meant to be. Your house will come along.
Best of luck to you sweetie.
