Yet again, went for my supposed 'final' fitting last night...
Ok, David's Bridal in Lake Grove is starting to piss me off!!! I think their general customer service is better than Westbury but their alterations dept S*CKS!!! Last night was supposed to be my 'final' fitting (after they didn't let the dress out last time). I get there, put the thing on... oh joy, now it zips up... however - I cannot take a deep breath!!! When I did, the little hook and eye thing popped open!!! There was a man there doing the alterations this time (which was just weird) and he was telling me it was fine. I was like, 'Um, no, I cannot take a deep breath, it is NOT fine!' He was like, 'Well I think they let it out as much as they could but you'll have to take it off for me to check.' GRRR!!!! So now I am freaking out! I take the dress off and the lady Jocelyn looks at it and shows me that they still have room to let it out some more. So now, I need to go back 8/14 AGAIN. I am also not thrilled w/ how much of my dress hangs on the floor when it's bustled. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think. I may tell them to add another button higher up.
I am really just so upset. I have yet to look in the mirror and see myself as this beautiful bride when I am wearing the dress... I hope thats just b/c it doesn't fit right yet...

well i think the dress looks fantastic on you! however, breathing is definitely necessary, plus you won't be able to sit comfortablly if it's too tight.
as for the bustle - definitely have them make the button higher. you will be stepping on it all night and so will other people. if it's on the floor too much chances are someone will step on it and possibly rip the dress.
i hope everything works out, but you do look stunning!

I see what you mean about the bustle... it looks STUNNING... but as a bride I can see that you'd want it a little more off the floor.
YOU ARE A STUNNING BRIDE!!! The dress hugs you perfectly!!!!..Once they let it out you will feel as beautiful as you look in it...(thank God they can let it out)
Praying that there are no more problems!!!!

You look gorgeous in your dress. Def. make them let it out a little if you can't breathe and the bustle could be higher....you don't want to step on it or have anyone else step on it.

I think the bustle should be a little higher that said, if they can't do it, the bustle still looks good.

Yeah, you gotta get them to let it out a little bit more... You look fantastic, but I can see below your boobs where the fabric isn't laying flat.. if they let it out just a bit, it will lay flat and fit like I glove... the back looks great though!!! If you would feel more comfortable with the bustle being a little higher, than tell them you want it higher (I think it looks pretty how it is though).. It is YOUR dress and you need to be comfortable and LOVE every bit of it.
PS... I hope that I didn't sound harsh, I just wanted to justify your not being able to breath.

Thank you so much, ladies!!! I saw FH after my fitting and I was crying and I told him how I don't feel beautiful in my dress. He was like, 'You are going to be so pretty no matter what you wear!!' I just want the darn thing to fit right and be comfy so I can dance and all! I will try and go there maybe tomorrow, to discuss the bustle thing b/c I am sure they're gonna want me to try it on again.
Thanks, again!

ITA with you on the bustle, you don't want people stepping on it!! once the dress is let out a touch it will be perfect, don't worry!!
Let me also tell you that I had 2 fittings the week OF my wedding, and you will be fine! they will get it done and you will be beautiful!!!
