I just spoke with my RH and they said i don't get the 'real' menu items (salad / appetiser / meal) ... that the tasting only includes the 'stuff' from the cocktail hour (the food from the captained stations and the hours douvers)
i was kind of annoyed because we were sooo looking forward to the tasting (with all of our food!)
did you get to eat ALL of the food on the menu or just CH 'stuff' too?

East Wind doesn't do a food tasting at all. Your only option is to go to a showcase where you're able to taste some of the cocktail hour food but there's nothing formal about it. I was really disappointed to find that out, so I don't blame you for being upset.
same with the surf club, we were also able to taste one of the dinner meals at our final menu selection because another wedding was going on. other than missing out on the fun of having a tasting i don't think it's that big of a deal to not have one. like, i know what paella tastes like...

Re: yet another food tasting question
We tasted everything....there was so much food we couldn't eat it all. We tasted the CH and main dinner entrees. It all depends on the hall.

Jericho Terrace gave us a full tasting. CH food, a pasta course, an entree, AND a dessert! Everything was great :)

Re: yet another food tasting question
every hall I looked at said I could have a tasting of the entrees.
For my tasting at CLM we had everything for the dinner portion (app, salad, entrees) they do a family style so you get to taste almost all the entrees they offer.

Re: yet another food tasting question
We just did a tasting and it was an appetizer, pasta course, salad, entree and family style dessert. We had to have the appetizer/pasta/salad that the current wedding was having, as well as a sample from their Viennese menu but we got to choose our own entree off the wedding menu :)

I was dissapointed as well.. Our RH only picked several (4 course) food dishes not ALL of them
