Yet another question

Yet another question

I'm in LOVE with the Vanderbilt at Dowling College...but they are way over what I can afford.

If you are familar with the Vanderbilt the location that they do the ceremony is BEAUTIFUL...please look at their webite and preview their pictures, page 3 1st picture is where they have their ceremony.

Is there any other place that has a ceremony location similar to this or something as beautiful as this that I can check out?

Re: Yet another question

The only thing is, in Coe Hall, aside from the $1500 fee and the (refundable) $200 clean-up deposit, the chairs are brown metal folding chairs! I did not like that at all. In addition, you still need to pay to get a permit to take photos on the grounds.

Wow....you would think if you are having the ceremony and reception there...they would let you take pictures!

Re: Yet another question

I looked at Vanderbuilt (both of them), Coe Hall, Bourne Mansion, Coindre Hall, Harrison House, and deServersky. They are all beautiful and all out of my budget (even for a Thursday evening), but I have to say, to me personally, deSeversky had the prettiest grounds/outdoor ceremony location. The interiors for all of them are radically different, and it is a matter of personal preference as to which period/style you like.

I didn't bother to look at Oheka after I called and found out what the site rental fee was.

We loved East Wind, the Southampton & grand ball rooms, we want a black tie affair and we considered the Sountry gardens(still are) but we're not crazy about the decor...Do you think you can have a black tie reception w/ that room? FH & I keep going back & fourth...
