Yet another reception question..

Original post by leecr7

Sorry to bother you girls again, but you've already been so helpful!

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way/place to pay $70 a head including tax. That's simply all we can afford. We've talked about maybe having the wedding on the day before Thanksgiving or something like that. We're almost def getting married in the off-season. My FILs are pushing us to have the wedding off LI because it will be cheaper, but we both grew up and met in LI. I really want to get married there.

Any suggestions? TIA!

Miller Place Inn quoted us $75 a head, then offered to drop it down to $70 a head if we paid cash.

if you look only for dates in January, February, March (and maybe even do a Friday or Sunday in those months) , you should be able to get a few places that will give you $50 per head and with tax & tip it'll come to 60-70. try all Lessings places, try the Watermill for a Sunday in February or something.

A friend of mine paid $56.00 per head with all included for a Friday night in March at the Coral House.

I'm doing a Sunday morning wedding with a breakfast brunch reception (12-3pm) for a lot less than $70 per person.

Westbury manor in March on a sunday! they offered $59 pp with chocolate fountain, chair covers, ice sculpture, and on and on. I would say any off season would be great! try the East wind! I am getting married there in may on a holiday weekend for 79.95 per person! The must be cheaper in the off season!
