Yet another reception question..

Yet another reception question..

Sorry to bother you girls again, but you've already been so helpful!

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way/place to pay $70 a head including tax. That's simply all we can afford. We've talked about maybe having the wedding on the day before Thanksgiving or something like that. We're almost def getting married in the off-season. My FILs are pushing us to have the wedding off LI because it will be cheaper, but we both grew up and met in LI. I really want to get married there.

Any suggestions? TIA!

Is the wedding for this year or next year. Smithtown Landing, part of Lessings, is doing a special for 75 inclusive for their wedding packages. Can't hurt to call them.

I know someone who's getting married in the off-season at Jericcho Terrace and is paying $59 for the wedding menu.

There's TONS of places you can get married and stick within that price range. If you do a Sunday afternoon wedding, or even a Saturday afternoon wedding, you can have more options of places, I'm sure. There's a thread on this somewhere. I'll search and see if I can find it. It has all the places that are in this price range.

Depending upon the package you choose, probably George Washington Inn or Milleridge Inn, unless their prices went up since I booked, you should be able to work something out for under $70 incl. tax with them.

How many people? When I booked the Milleridge Inn Carriage House, it was $80 including tax, ( 65 I think, before tax) but I know they had discounts for off season. The cake is included & 1/2 dozen roses per table are included.

ETA--that was a Saturday night--Fridays & Sundays were less expensive too.

I think the Stewart Manor Country Club is also reasonable.

Check out the Riviera in Massapequa, they should come in under $70 for you.

I paid LESS than that in the summer! Check out CLM see whatthey can do for you!

If you do a Sunday Day they can give you a MUCH better deal!

You might find a lower rate if you have either morning wedding with a breakfast reception or a reception during a weekday. I'm having mine done on a friday.

Re: Yet another reception question..

most places we looked at really only considered FEBRUARY to be off season. They had dates in June and July that cost the same as what they wanted for November

I think you could do Hunt. Town House or maybe Leonards in your range!

GW Manor, where I am getting married, has many diff. options... I chose an option where it is less than 70 dollars per person.

I can vouch for the Miller Place Inn. My sister got married there 11 years ago and it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding. People still talk about it!!! Since then, we've gone to a couple of New Years Eve parties there and they were all great. At any rate, I checked it out when we were looking for a hall and I was quoted $89pp but that was for a Sept. date. They definitely do a great job, I recommend you check them out.

I would also recommend any of the Lessings locations. We had our e-party at the West Sayville Country Club and it was great! The food was delicious and the service was top rate. The view was incredible too!! I think my parents paid $70pp after tax and grats. and we had our e-party on a Saturday in June!! Definitely check them out!!

Good Luck!!
Jenn
