Ok, so I am really not into Engagement Photos which we have talked about in another thread. I am going to do them since our photographer is throwing them in, but I really dont want to use them for the save the dates. Currently I am searching for STDs on multiple websites and etsy. I am thinking of doing a magnet but would really like to do something 'different' I don't want a postcard. Do you ladies have any ideas for something I could do. I know the STD/postage will probably be more expensive but I dont really care

FH and i really wanted to do magnets too. I'm planning on doing STD's that look like ticket stubs. Try this site - they have a ton of different looks:
They sent me a sample and it was so cute! IT comes with heavy card backing (to avoid magnets sticking together or mailboxes), tissue paper, envelope and ribbon. Other sites I've seen charge extra for the extra card and none I've seen included anything fancy like the tissue paper or ribbon.

I actually have these saved on a pinterest board. I forgot about them! maybe i will go this route!

What about pencils...I think they are really cute and different!
I'm having such a hard time. I have pencils, magnets, pins all bookmarked!! I want something fun and different!!
Also if you don't want the engagement pictures, tell them at JayLim...We said we didn't want and they cut the price down!

FH just showed me the pic he wants to use on our STD...It's a cute picture, but I feel like its not even from when we were engaged!? Does that matter!? It's from so long ago, we have it hanging on our picture wall in our Living Room...

I thought this was cute but you could use a generic picture of interlocking hearts or something like that.
This! I posted this link a few weeks ago because this was what I was going to do as my saves the dates. I downloaded everything and emailed it to staples to be printed, but realized that I will never find the time to actually get them all done and just got postcards made instead. If you have the time to invest in making this I def recommend them. They aren't hard to do and personally, I like the extra personal touch it gives when you do things yourself.

I went with Vista Print for my STD's magnets. It came out great and I already gave a few out to family members and they loved it! ;o) I saw someone used a Concert Ticket as their STD. I thought that was cute and unique.
Ooh!!! I'm not sure if you decided yet, but something you said made me remember this. There are places where you can make a heart out of yours and FHs thumbprint. Zazzle does something, but it's not actually your thumb prints. If you google it, you should be able to find somewhere that does it. We almost did this, but then found the pic we ended up using.
