Yikes!!!! Haven't talked to my mom in 1 week...

because she's po'd that my DH is taking me away for the weekend as a surprise for V-day. She wanted to have dinner with us on V-day originally and I told her that we'd go out to eat over the weekend since it's our first married v-day. Well, she called me last week and asked if we could go to brunch on Sun. afternoon instead and I told her that I'd have to get back to her about that.

My DH and I are dog sitting and he told me as an excuse not to make plans for v-day that he isn't sure when his sister is getting back from cancun and will be able to pick up the dogs. He said that we wouldn't know until sat. night. Well, I told my mom this and she got ****ed. I told her I'd check with my DH again to see what was going on. I did and called her right back. My dH decided to tell me the truth about his plans and ruined the surprise. When I told my mom this, she tried to make me feel guilty and then brought up SO much stuff that was irrelevant to this situation. She told my dad that she is so mad at me and refuses to take my calls.

***????? I just don't know what to do anymore!

Maybe I'm not the best person to take advice from, b/c my mom and I haven't spoken in a week and she's not mad at me at all, we just like it that way...

but your mom has no right to be mad at you...you're a grown woman and if your DH wants to take you away for valentines then so be it! She shouldn't make you feel guilty over it...there's always next weekend!

My mother pulls cr@p like that all the time. She gets mad about anything but doesnt actually come out and say whats really bothering her.
