Yo, I hate freakin macy's bridal - Manhasset

So... i went there last night to pick up my bm dress for a wedding this weekend.

my appt was for 7 and the lady didn't get to me till like 7:30.

Some bride was there and apparently the store had ordered her bridesmaid dresses in the wrong color. The women helping her (who had jacked up extensions) was just saying, 'it wasn't our fault. Things like this just happen. I am doing everything I can to accomidate you.' I felt bad for the bride cuz she looked pissed off.

2nd, Another woman was there ordering a flower girl dress for her daugher. Apparently the store had ordered the dress in the wrong size. The seamstress ( ) said that she owed $ then for the alterations. The woman purchasing the dress said, 'i'm not sure how i feel about paying for something in case this gets messed up.' The seamstress only said, 'well we aren't charging you for the first dress.' (Of course you shouldn't...it's the store's fault!)

So then i picked up my dress and tried it on. It's a little tight but it's bearable. It's a size 4 and they wanted to order me a size 8. They probably just wanted to make more $ off of alterations.

If this was a stand alone bridal store it would be closed by now cuz of all the mistakes. I think the only reason it's still around is cuz it's linked up with Macy's.

Just be careful if anyone orders ANYTHING there.

OMG seriously if I were the bride that got the BM dresses in the wrong color they would have to drag me out by my hair cause I would not settle for anything but the dresses in the right color and that womens extentions would totally be ripped out hahaha

yeah. She's had issues too.

Luckily all is well now (after much aggrivation) but the stupid store thinks they still have her dress. She picked it up yesterday lol.

yea I had issues with them and I didnt even get anything there. the customer service was horrendous when i went with my friend lookin for her wedding dress. we basicaly picked the dresses out ourselves and i was the one helping her try it on. the lady finally after 5 dresses said you need help!! i was like NOOOOO... I GOT IT.. now pay me for doing YOUR job!! , lol

WOW thats terrible!!! I havn't gone to a Macy's bridal department but I havn't heard great things about most of them. Glad your dress is ok, and I agree with you they did want to order you a large size only get you on alterations you are clearly not a size 8.

thats crazy.

so far I have had a GREAT experience in the Macy's Herald Sq. location.....must just be that specific store!

Wow I went there and had such great service I was very Happy my dress came in and it actually fits me well so I dont have to alterted that much, I was very happy with them we are also getting my Fg dress from them, MY sister got her BM dress there for her SIl wedding last year and they also did not have any issues I still feel bad for that bride, but so far we have had no issues and they have been great!

we just had a nightmare with macys too. i was afraid to write anything bc i thought it would get pulled but fsil wedding is friday and our dresses just came in last friday....and they are all the wrong sizes! my dress was too big another girls too small...we all had to switch. i wouldnt recommend getting bridesmaid dresses there. it was a nightmare!
