Re: Yoga or Pilates?
I love them both! I find more results from Pilates, and more relaxation from Yoga. Although there are all different forms of Yoga. I so estanga yoga, which is high powered always moving. I walk out of that class dreanched, but Pilates it more lengthening and toning. I also sweat like an animal after that class. Also, I must say I used to get really bad back pain when I was menstruating, I honestly believe I don't feel as much pain anymore because of Pilates.Try them both, does your gym offer the classes? Switch it up or take 2 classes a week, 1 yoga and 1 pilates.
Good luck!!

Re: Yoga or Pilates?
I have been doing pilates for a year and a half now. I have done Yoga also and feel that Pilates is definetely more of a work out. It depends what you are looking for.

Re: Yoga or Pilates?
So I am going to try Pilates Thursday....but I am nervous because I have never done it before. Is there anything I should know before I jump in?

Re: Yoga or Pilates?
honestly, I liked pilates but always managed to come out of the class injured. I take yoga one a week now (wish she taught more though!) and I love it! I do it more for strength, flexibility, stretching which helps with wieght loss too! I do vinyasa yoga that is fast paced and I sweat a lot!!! I have always had back and neck pain and yoga really helps alleviate that!Welcome New Vendors
