Yesterday someone at my DH office invited us to a party! Apparently his co-worker has some friends who throw a BBQ party every summer and invite us many people us they can! The catch is they charge $10 per person to participate! Yes, that's exactly how it's presented! There is no trying out for the catering business or anything like that! They just charge people to cover the expence!![]()
I don't get it: why can't people just invite a few guests that they really want to see, make a nice meal and NOT charge them anything! Why do they need to invite the whole world and ask for cover charge!
BTW, my DH who never heard of such thing, was quite shocked! He downright told that person that it's the most ridiculous thing he ever heard and that we are not going to come! I told him that LIW girls would have been proud of him!![]()
