I wrote a vent earlier about my bday and FH and the responses and support were amazing!
Just an update: I told him how upset I was, for real, like hurt and not just mad. He is coming home early. We spoke a bit and are going to speak more but he did start acknowledging that he f'd up.
Thank you thank you for all the support and offers to kick his sometimes very selfish a$$! I also took the advice of showing him the letter and explaining to him that its important to show love on the actual day and not just order a cake for a party I am essentially throwing myself!
My day is starting to look up a bit, and even though he had originally told me to choose a place and we would go for dinner, he decided to finally do something nice and take one of the many suggestions I provide and we are doing a picnic in the park. So that should be fun!
Becca: Thank you for the invite out! Stout used to be our go-to birthday bar! Saturday night is actually that party I'm essentially throwing myself- its a bday/housewarming at our new apartment. Hopefully that will improve this birthday fiasco.
But thank you so so much. I havent told any of my friends about my crappy day because I kind of just wanted to forget it, and they are going to see him saturday so I didn't want any awkwardness so you girls were really my only support, and what an amazing job you all did! Thank you times a million to infinity!
