You girls got me in trouble!

LOl well sort of. So yesterday we are at palm sunday dinner and my mom mentioned how a friend of hers daughter wants to get married at her hall but her parents want a church ceremony. So she was going to get married at the hall and then a few weeks later have a small church ceremony. But she was told that technically she wouldnt be married in the church it would be more of a renual (sp?) So I said yes that is right. I know a lot of people who want to have a cival ceremony for health insurance but havent because technically the chruch wouldnt consider another marriage...blah blah. So I was explaining how legally you cant be married twice and that if she does the cival ceremony first the church ceremony would be more of a blessing from the church. So as Im explaining this FMIL keeps cutting me off about how I am wrong. so i keep trying to finish my statement and she keeps cutting me off so I finally stoped and said 'Can you please let me finish!' Needless to say she told fh she didnt appreciate how I spoke to her and here is the best part....FH told her I was right and she shouldnt have been so rude trying to cut me off!


edit- oh and the rest of the night she sulked and didnt even say good night to me lol

Alright....! Good for you and even better that FH backed you up.

She should know better than to interupt people while they are speaking. We teach this to children...why do they think they are exempt? Almost treating us like we don't matter. UGH!
