they just made face and body piercing ILLEGAL if i understood the new correctly.. ill have to look into it thats serious CRAP!

I agree with the part in the article that says people are going to do it anyway which is even more dangerous. They should just be stricter with the guidelines.

The county Board of Health, which regulates tattoo and piercing parlors, has proposed banning body modifications. The move would outaw lip piercing, tongue-splitting, implanting, branding, permanent eye makeup and piercing of the mouth, tongue, septum and genitals.

'It's time to catch up with the current trend,' Suffolk Director of Communicable Disesases Dr. Patricia Dillon told Newsday.

Dillon and other health experts are conerned that more exotic body art practices pose a greater risk of infection and may cause permanent damage to muscles and nerves.
