You know what wedding planning has made me realize?

I have no family and very few friends, and the frends I do have, aren't that great (with a few excptions).

You know, it's like people I thought I could count on... I can't. I mean my own brother, grandfather, and first cousin, are not coming. My BP will have like 4 people because I have no friends.... I guess I'm just throwing a pity party..... It just hurts...

Im so sorry just remember that you are spending the rest of your life with your fh....and thats all that matters........from the moment i got engaged people have made me cry ......so many times......i guess you feel like you were there for them why can tthey be there for you one day out of 365

i came to the same realization a while back. i have 2 brothers who aren't coming for no good reason. i find it best to focus on the people who are going out of their way for me and supporting us fully! forget the rest! ~lacey

I'am sorry to hear that.. you would think that if your family was not helping your friends would step up to the plate, but i guess not , thats not right. Just keep calm remember you have us girls to vent and most important your FH

I will say that you're doing a bit better than I am. My BP has three people in it. My FH gave me a hard time because his has 4 and he wanted it even, but there wasn't anyone else for me to ask.

I am the same - I think I knew it beforehand, but the planning has made me realize that even out of the people in my bridal party, I can probably only really count on one of them.....

I know what you mean... my sister isn't coming even though I flew out to Vegas when my son was only 5 months old so I could be her MOH... and my other sister's husband can't come b/c he has to do a flea market that my sister already paid for when she already knew the date of the wedding! I know it seems hard right now, but it will get better, I promise!

I was sad about the people not helping and those not coming. But then I realized that I needed to celebrate with those that were coming and not be down about those not coming.

This gave us new persepective and I didn't miss a damn soul on the wedding day. I had a great time with all those that came.

I found that the two really good friends that I have are just the same as always, GREAT. But that is it. They are the only two I would call friends, so don't be too upset love!!!!!!! We all love you!!!!

Same boat-- its sad-- it took one 'friend' over a month to get back to me with her address (obviously she knew what it was for)

and usually when people drop out of your life it ends up being for the best. in my situation the person didn't accept me for who i really was so i didn't want to have a friend like that!

i know for me personally i have been disappointed in a few ppl, (family AND freinds) and pleasantly surprised by others who have totally stepped up. it's sad that such a happy event shows you who's really who in your life.
