You know you've made it in life when...

for me, my life will be considered successful (in terms of material things, not love or marriage or being a good person) when i have a garage and a washer/dryer...it's the little things that make me happy. i can't wait to be able to park in a garage so i don't have to scrape snow off my car. but i also look forward to being able to do laundry...whenever! i'll be reallllly successful when i can afford a cleaning person

so how bout you all? let's face it, for a lot of us, we are still starting out and although many of us are working and surviving, there are things little measures of success that we look forward to. for instance, my mom got a new car when she was 48! she got her washer and dryer at 36! i'm so happy for her!

I have to completley agree with you.
Ive know Ive made it in life when...
I have a washer/dryer and dont have to waste so much $$ @ the laudromat.
I have a driveway to park in (and shovel )
I have a backyard to rake and flowers to take care of.
Eventually a pool to swim in
Be able to have friends and family come over @ the SAME time because now, I have room!

This will all be coming together in a few months, however, when i'm IN my house, is when I will feel, ok, now we've made it

OMG, i totally agree! i was just telling dh last night that i can't wait to have our gazillion and one families come over at the same time and have everyone bring a dish and play games and sing karaoke and just be a big family!!! i want that. we've been fighting b/c he has his family, i have my families b/c of divorce and remarriage and with the holidays, it is so hard to pick and visit everyone so i can't wait to have all of them come over to me!!!
