My future in laws wanted to address their own set of invites and hand it out in person, it's their tradition. I didn't see any harm in it. Now it's 12 days til the wedding and I'm still missing 30 of their RSVPs, they send out 60 invites. They said its bc some ppl don't RSVP but they will call and make a list for me. They gave me a number already and now they are putting together a list of names.

Soo... I got a super duper late RSVP from one of their guests in the mail today (the RSVP date was April 21)... the reply by date was whited out. There's a new handwritten date of May 20, 2006!!!! The wedding is May 21, 2006!!!

WOW! That is very rude and it's not like you don't have enough to worry about - now to have to deal with this?!

Well just rmember - you're getting married in a couple of weeks and all of this will be behind you!

Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry you need to deal with this stress right now. I can't believe the nerve of your in-laws!

Did they explain why they did that?

Just try to be happy and excited...Don't let their REALLY RUDE actions upset you!

See if you can find out if all of the InLaws invites are like that. When I sent mine out the response date was January 20th and 1 person who was really behind for some reason decided that since he did not send it in time he whited out the 20th and wrote in 30th.
If it is that the InLaws did it to all of their invites then I suggest you have FH set them straight because that is just unacceptable and they have to contact all of their people and correct their stupidity.

Sorry to hear that.

I heard so many horror stories about invites that I was a control freak with mine. I mind both sets of parents give a list of names and addresses - Anyone not on the list did not get an invite.

What the hell is wrong with them? Well kudos to them for putting in a whole hearted effort to give you additional stress! Geez! Well Mother's Day is coming...you know FMIL needs some more white out...why don't you buy her a case of it?! Good luck with all of that!
