You won't believe what my In-Laws did on wedding day!

I was married recently. People's advice were things are going to happen on your wedding day that you can't control. So I was aware of this. My day was amazing except for 2 things.

I figured something would go wrong with the venue, or flowers etc. Not from my in-laws!

Long story short, I threw my bouquet and my new husbands Uncle, snatched it right out of my best friends hands! It was literally sailing right to her. She even looked at me in disbelief. I can't put in to words how much this ticked me off.
(of course he gave bouquet to his neice...)

Also , his 3 sisters were asked to be at my house 11am on day of. We were to leave w/ limo at 12pm. They were not at my house @ 12! I called his mom and they were not on they way. So we left w/out them!

What aggravated me more was they didn't apologize for being late. I was going to ask what happened. I realized there was no way I was going to be nice. So, I let them tell me how beautiful I looked and didn't say anything to them at all.

I'm still aggravated about bouquet. It's on video I'm sure and I'm NOt LOOKING forward to seeing it w/ his family. It really bothered me. Am I being a baby??

Thanks it boggles my mind. It would have been a perfect day. I thought I was being immature about the bouquet thing but I'm still super pissed. lol

That is horrible! Kudos to you for leaving them behind. How rude & inconsiderate of them plus no apology. Hope the rest of your day was great. Congrats!!

I would be mad at the girls for being so late, but the bouquet toss thing i think IMO you can lighten up about. the toss is suppose to be a fun thing and i just think a man catching it makes it more memorable and you can look back and laugh at it. also i bet it made the little girl's day to get it!

ITA with this - tardyness is definitely a problem but im sure the uncle is just a jokester or was too drunk - people s u c k

you should ask the videographer not to include the bouquet toss in the video.

i had mine leave out the best man speech () and i'm so happy i did!

I guess I'll try to relax about it. BTW, His neice is a grown adult. It really bothered me to see my friends disbelieving face to what happened. Oh well. The wedding was great anyway.

And this is just sad, I would be mortified if my uncle did that to me.

Definitely would be livid at the BM's showing up late to the point you had to leave them and then them lacking the sense to apologize. Oh well.
That's why I'm having a 'Slumber Party' with all my girls at my house the night before the wedding.
The bouquet toss... not that big of a deal. I agree with the majority of the other ladies. Your new uncle-in-law (is that even a term?) probably was just being a jokester. I doubt it was done maliciously.

First off congrats! Second off, I would absolutely want to kill my BM's if they were late! As far as the uncle I prolly would be pissed too, but at least that you can laugh about later on.

you can let go of the BoK toss, and chose to not include it in your video, even though it was a big part of the wedding celebration.
Knowing me, when I watch the video with his parents, i would make some kind of snarky comment about the uncle stealing the show from his own daughter.

the BM's being so late i would still be fuming about. I would have found out by now why they were so late!

I would be pissed too..i really would see if you can cut that out so u dont have to watch it ...its your wedding and if u dont like that part get rid of it ...thats just so messed up..are they like that all the time??
