So I was teaching my 8th graders about the Great Depression. I had mentioned earlier in the lesson how many factories went bankrupt and closed.
A little later on, I was listing the effects of the depression. One of them was a lower birth rate. So I asked if anyone knew why that would be.
One kid says, 'The factories were closed, so they had no where to make the babies?'
Apparently, he still believes there is a baby factory.
