YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE THIS!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!! GET THIS!!!!!! FH's aunt HAD THE NERVE to call us yesterday and leave a message on our machine (3 actually - b/c they were so long she kept getting cut off.) And she started by saying, 'Hi guys, it's Aunt So and so....blahblah blah....I want to congratulate you and say that her son (FH's cousin) is graduating from HS the day of our wedding and it's his special day (the graduation is in the morning) and we don't know if we'll be able to make the wedding.... CAN YOU CALL THE INN AT EAST WIND AND RESCHEDULE YOUR WEDDING FOR ANOTHER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' And the madness continues when she says, It's his special day and it's not fair to him and if she wants to throw a party on Sunday the day after our wedding no one will come b/c they went to your wedding the day before and it's not fair to him BLAH BLAH BLAH....' Is she crazy!!!?!?!?!?!!??!!!! She left 3 messages and they were sooo long and she went on and on and on and on. I was PISSED!!! HF called his mom and we played the messages for her and his dad. His mother (that was her sister) is FUMING MAD!!! I don't know what happened yet but I know I was upset for a while. Am I wrong for being upset???

So sorry....I would certainly be pissed but have learned to just grin and bear it....I would call her back and tell her that you are very sorry that they are not going to make it to the wedding but there is NO WAY that you are rescheduling!!!!

You're not wrong for being upset. Obviously, you are NOT going to change your WEDDING DATE for someone's graduation.

But, let your FMIL handle this.

All of the drama that I have with my IL's started because I got pulled into drama that didn't even involve me...

Maybe you can politely tell her you can't reschedule. it's your special day too, and that lots of people will come for his grad party on Sunday because they'll make a weekend out of it, and it's perfect because FH's cousin and aunt and uncle will already be in suits and they'll have a whole day of celebrating. you understand how important it is to FH's cousin, but it is also YOUR special day and you can't call and ask East Wind to reschedule any more than she can call the school and ask them to reschedule.

That is really insane....don't let it get to you because it is her fault for being CRAZY.....
