Young Brides?

Ok well now that I'm engaged and all I hear this a lot:
'oh your getting married? your sooo young tho!'
Now i donno about you girls but i find that a little insulting.

so hears my question...

How old is everyone?

I'm 21 and I've been with my FH for 5 years now and I don't think I'm too young to get married!

I'm 24, we've been dating for over 4 years now, I don't think we are too young at all.

I am going to be 23 in a few weeks...we got engaged when i was 21, been dating FH since i was 18...I dont think age really matters much, if you know you love someone and understand what marriage is/means then what does age matter?

I am 24 as well and have been dating fh for 4.5 years....I don't think I am 'young' to get married ...I think is all about maturity and feeling ready I do get the ' you are soo young' all the time but who the hell cares lol ENJOY PLANNING YOUR WEDDING

i am 24 & FH is 26. we have been together 8 years. i will be 26 & FH will be 27 when we get married.

my brother was 24 married & already had 1 kid.

i don't think age has anything to do with it. i think if you have a degree and/or a good job with security age shouldn't be a determing factor about when to get married. everyone is in different family & financial situations & those things should be considered over age.

I don't think that age has to do with anything, i think its whether or not you know that this person is 'the right' person. Only you and your fh can know that.

I don't really fit into the young brides, i just turned 28 and fh just turned 35, at the time of the wedding i will 29 and fh 36

I'm 21 as well...I dont really hear that too much, but everyone is my family got married fairly early. Also, my family loves my FH. haha

im 24 and will be married a week after my 26th birthday. FH is turning 29 in a few weeks.. i still get the 'youre too young' from my mom, even though she was 19 when she got married!!!

up here, we get that ALOT from FHs family and friends (but they are not happy with us being together). When we visit my family in TN, we get 'get going- you are no spring chicken anymore'- Im 25!!!

Well, I'm 23, but I was 22 when I got engaged. However, my FH and I have been together for 6 years (7 years on 12/29). By the time we get married we will have been together for 10 years. Honestly, I would have married him years ago. When you feel that connection, there should be no hesitating. Don't listen to anyone. Good luck you!

dont worry i get this too and iam 18 and fh is 21 and we have two kids and we have been together for 5 years

I don't think age really matters. as long as you are mature enough to get married. i'm 29 and will be 31 when i get married. i know my grandmother thinks i'm old and should have been married years ago. i keep telling her that this is 2008 and i wanted to finish my masters and have a job before i even thought about marriage.
