The only children I will have at my wedding are my nephews. They will all be 4 years old or younger at the time I get married. They will definitely be at the ceremony, however, I am undecided whether or not I should have them come to the reception. My reception will be from 7pm - 12am. My nephews go to bed a lot earlier than 12am so I'm thinking they will probably be falling asleep at the reception. Also, I want my sister and sister-in-law to have a worry-free night out and be able to enjoy themselves, so I'm uncertain as to what I should do.
If you are having kids at your reception (even if it's ONLY flowergirl/ringbearer), are you concerned about the reception running so late and the kids getting really tired?
Also, does anyone have young children who will be a flowergirl/ringbearer who will NOT be at the reception (only at the ceremony and during pictures)?

My 6 yr old cousin fell asleep in her chair...made for a really cute photo op...also same cousin fell asleep at our older cousins wedding when she was like 2 and she slept on her father's jacket in the corner by his seat...again very cute photo op! Thought it was hysterical that she tends to fall asleep at weddings!

the ringbearer (3yo by then and the only child invited) is the son of one of my BM's... her husband is not in the BP... but I'm inviting her (the BM's) mom too, so I figure between husband and mom they can figure out what they wanna do with the kid as it starts to get late...
We have a 7 hour party (!) which won't end until 1am, and they live over 60 miles away. so not bringing him to the reception isn't realy an option unless mom decides she's only coming to church and not reception, but that's up to them to decide... I can't tell them not to bring him, and I want him there anyway!...

My nephew will be youngest at the wedding. He will be 6 by then. I think my sis will rent a hotel room nearby so she can stay with him there afterwards and not worry about driving.
What the heck am I thinking? My wedding ends at 5pm! LOL
