My ceremony place like a lot of others, isn't letting anything be thrown on the floor. If this is the case for anyone else, what are you having the flower girl do? Just walk down the aisle? My daughter has been practicing for months - seriously- and will be devestated if I tell her she doesn't have a 'job' - she's just going to walk down the aisle. My mother seems to think I should just have her throw the flowers anyway, the priest won't say anthing during the wedding... i told her she's crazy. Anyone have any suggestions?

I wasn't allowed either... had my 3 flower girls holding baskets of flowers instead. Also had the 3 of them hand out bubbles after the ceremony as guests exited the church.. they were happy with that job

Yikes I dunno... at the church I was originally going to use, the Deacon told me that he'd have no qualms about interrupting my ceremony to tell my guests not to take photos (needless to say we didn't get married there)... if your Deacon is like that, who knows, he very well MIGHT say something if she tosses the flowers! Are you having programs? Maybe you could have her give programs to the guests as they come in, instead of throwing the petals? Just a suggestion!

my flowergirl held a kissing ball. Its like a ball shaped thing of flowers. She had the same flowers as my bok on it, it was peonies.

Really? I'm debating this. The priest is really young and cool (and forgetful at times) so he may very well be like oh i must have forget to tell them. But, suppose he's like didn't I tell you not to throw flowers? Don't think lying to a priest is what gets you into heaven. She can't hand out programs or whatever because she's coming in the limo with me and is last to go in before me.

if your church is really strict (or u really dont want to risk just ignoring the rules)...maybe she can throw the petals in front of you as u have your walk from your house to the limo or as u leave the limo into the church...so at least its outside and she's still doing it....just not in the church
or she can also do something similar leaving the limo and going into the rh (not when ure walking into the room...just when ure outside).
will they let you throw stuff outside (for example afterwards)...if so...she can have a handful to toss then.

We're not allowed to throw anything that 'lands on the floor' before I go into the church is a good idea. I don't forsee them being too strict about the curb to the stairs right????
