How much did you all pay for your dress? I went to the Wedding Salon in Manhasset today as my starting point to try dresses on, and every single dress was $4,000 or better that i liked!To be fair there were a few under that but nothing with beading that I liked.....

I went to Lillette's in Baldwin (my mom got her dress there when she was married 32 yrs ago) and we paid $1200. It was one of the most expensive they have.

I actually bought mine at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset..I got it at a trunk show so saved an additional 13% [not much but its something!] and it came to $2350 before tax. I have no idea what the alterations are going to cost.

You may want to check out Maggie Sottero dresses, the majority of her dresses are ALL under 2k, very beautiful.
You also may consider ordering through Phyllis at gownfind.com, she'll definitely save you at least a few hundred dollars off any dress you find in a salon.
I 2nd going to Lillette's in Baldwin & also Renate's in Lindenhurst. They are great at both places.

The Wedding Salon of Manhassett only carries high end gowns their location calls for it. Mahassett is in the 'gold coast' of Long Island. Having said that, I wouldn't worry, there are pleanty of other bridal salons on LI with a much wider price range of gowns.
