How much did you all pay for your dress? I went to the Wedding Salon in Manhasset today as my starting point to try dresses on, and every single dress was $4,000 or better that i liked! To be fair there were a few under that but nothing with beading that I liked.....

Re: Your dress?
The first one I loved was $5,000, but the one I bought was about $850 with tax, and I love it even more. You can find beautiful beading for much less.

Re: Your dress?
Mine was $699 and then another $100 for the hem to hollw (or whatever it's called). With tax, alterations, and bustle it came to about $1100 give or take a few dollars! I loved, loved, loved my dress! I wish I could wear it again!

Re: Your dress?
My dress is $1050. Tack on $150 for Hollow to Hem, $200 for alterations and tax, and it's in the ballpark now of $1500.
However, I may go elsewhere for alterations, so that might kill some of the cost.

I paid 574 for my dress..david's bridal..its amazing..like it was made for me..its a beautiful dress and looks expensive so it worked for me plus i couldn't justify spending a lot of money for something I'm only going to wear once..

Re: Your dress?
The first dress I tried on was at Bridal Couture in Manhasset and it was $10,500!!!! I nearly had a heart attack. The second dress was 'less expensive' accoridng to the sales girl...It was a 'bargain' at only $9000.
The dress I ended up buying was only $2400.
I knew I wanted a silk organza or silk gazar gown, so nothing I looked at was less than $2000, but my sister go a GREAT dress for $700. She got so many compliments.

Re: Your dress?
Mine comes to about $1000 w/hollow to hem, tax & alterations. I love it more than any of the higher priced dresses that I saw. It's Demetrios from Macy's Bridal salon, Manhasset. BTW, if you go there ask for 15%off.
