Your dress and the BM dresses..........

Is anyone matching up their BM dresses with the look of their gown?? The FG dress also?? Im not , does this matter??

i just matched the color of my dress with the FG..not the BMs. It's up to you..it's your wedding, you can do whatever you want

I don't think I am...I'm just going to pick a BM dress that I love. If it coordinates..great..if it doesn't..I don't think it'll matter.

I wanted the BM dress to compliment my dress and since it is ivory and gold, I wanted the girls to wear gold. And I would like for the flower girl to have a dress similar to mine in ivory.

I don't think it matters, though. I really don't like it all to match. Like I don't want the FG to have a replica of my dress...

My dress is unique, so I more focused on matching the overall style (contemporary minimalist elegant) of the dress, than the actual elements themselves.

Im not....
The MOH and BM dresses are going to be different from each other... All the BM will have the same dress and the MOH has a different one..
But their dresses arent matching mine...
Only the flowergirl dress.... Since the flowergirl our daughter, we want her to match me, so she is going to get a little mini wedding dress type of gown LOL... But I want it to be almost like mine...

My dress is a lightweight raw silk, so I went with tissue taffeta for BMs. I didn't like the heavy satin gowns for me (especially in August) so I was happy to avoid satin for BMs, although I was willing to consider it.

My dress has pickups so I purposely picked BM dresses without them. My dress is strapless and I orig wanted strapless for BMs but they fell in love with a dress with spaghetti straps so we went with that one instead.

my dress is satin with organza over it and the BM dresses are satin knee length with a bit of organza out the bottom and an organza sash but they dontlook like mine

I had never heard of this - other than color obviously. My BM asked me that though! She saw the dress I bought and said 'will our dresses match?' and I had no idea what she meant. I hope it's not a problem :(

Since my dress is champagne and ivory, I'd consider getting that shade for the flower girls maybe.
