I am definitely obsessed with my ring. I look at it all the time -- the lighting in my classroom is wonderful!

Re: Your E-Ring
I can't help but stare & sometimes I am still in disbelief that this is mine!!! I have had many people comment on the ring...It was custom made, so it is very different....When the sun shines, I am extremely addicted to watching it shine & watching the rainbows reflect off of it!
FH is guilty too...There are times I catch him staring at it...

I just got mine on Thursday, and I've already had 3 people in 3 different places notice it and ask me IF IT'S FAKE....WHO DOES THAT?!?! In the bakery, some woman on line asked me if it was real - I answered, 'Of course it's real! It's so beautiful, my fiance did a great job!'...Her answer was, 'It's such a bright white, it looks like a good CZ!!! How OLD are you anyway?'
That is perhaps the most incredibly obnoxious thing to say to someone. Even if it were CZ, a person should respect a newly engaged person and be congratulatory. I find that men ask if it is 'real' more than women do. Maybe it is because they think they can do better when they ask someone to marry them. I don't know.
I plan on buying an inexpensive CZ e-ring when we go to Mexico in two months and put my real one in a safe. Even though my ring was insured from minute one, I know we will be doing so many activities that require removing the ring and I just dont trust hotel safes. After getting the new insurance policy in the mail and seeing what the ring appraised for, I sure as heck ain't taking chances.

They say that newly engaged women get into the most accidents! While driving they are too busy admiring their ring and take their eyes off the road! I don't know if this is true, but i thought it was funny.
I still look at my ring all the time.

Re: Your E-Ring
I got mine 10 days ago but I still stare at it often.
My FH asked me to send pictures of rings I liked, and he sent this one to the Jeweler. It pretty much looks like that.
Am I the only one paranoid about washing my hands, trying not to get it wet? Also I'm trying not to scratch it up.

Has anyone cleaned theirs yet? What did you use?
My ring looks exactely like that. My jeweler said to wash it with an old toothbrush and shampoo. It makes it look so shiny.

One of my sidestones shifted. They are pear shaped. I noticed the difference between the two side stones and will have it repaired but I am too paranoid for them not to do it front of me. Even though noone would notice unless I pointed it out, it is driving me buck nutty and I am obsessing over it. I can't rest until it is fixed. No one at work has seen it yet since I got it last Sunday over spring break from school. Must do my nails tonight.

I don't know why she likes to do this, but my friend will count the times that I look at my ring, and she's say 'you know, you've looked at your ring like 5 times in the past 10 mins!'

It cleans your ring off when you wash your hands...but I did the same thing. I clean it just about everyday with Windex....works great

I love my ring, especially the history behind it. :)
FI's mother gave him her stone which belonged to his GREAT grandmother (on his dad's side) which she got in 1870! It's an old mine cut diamond and he set it in an antique white gold (replica) setting.
I love mine! I stare all the time too! ;) LOL

That's wonderful! My ring was the one my mom wore when she was married to my dad, so it's a bit of a family heirloom. I love to watch it sparkle in the light!!! So pretty!!! Five months have passed and I still can't believe it!!!!!
