How did your FI choose your e-ring? Did you go shopping together, did you pick it out, did he? Did you have any 'say'?
As for mine, i saw it while shopping w/ my sis and mom and thought it was AMAZING!!! I never thought they would even remember it when it came time for FI came to shop. But, my sis brought him right to the store when he came to her and told her he wanted to look at rings,and he LOVED it and said- 'Thats the one'. I was SOOOOO happy when he opened the box and it was this ring (post a pic if you have)
I just told my FH 'square' or 'round' stone, and he did the rest. It's perfect, I loved it the minute he gave it to me.

First I went shopping by myself to see what I wanted....way before we ever had the talk about rings...I went to Tiffany by myself and decided that I loved the Tiffany setting....we also went to Fortunoff together....ultimately my FI got the Tiffany setting done by a jeweler he knew...I love it

He knew I wanted a platinum setting and a round stone, he took it from there and picked a gorgeous ring, if I do say so myself!

I never discussed rings with my FI. He picked it out all by himself. And it is perfect!
FH had asked me months before he proposed what style ring i would want. after the shock wore off of the fact that engagement was coming i told him i love classy styles. my dream ring was always round center stone with baguette sidestones. one of my coworkers from my previous job had my dream ring and I had shown it to FH. i told him i'd be happy with whatever he chose and trusted his judgement. My only request was that it be round center stone.
well 7 months after that I got my dream ring sorry the pic is blurry.
We had gone shopping together the summer before we got engaged. The jeweler wrote the style # down. DH found the card and bought the exact ring I fell in love with! Here's a pic of my e-ring with my wedding band. Please don't mind how scary my hand looks in the 2nd pic. It's all round diamonds.- a round center stone, 2 round side stones, and 3 channel set diamonds on either side.

I explained exactly what I would want, and he told his jeweler. And I couldn't believe when I saw it, it was exactly what I wanted!

FH and I talked about getting engaged. I gave him so pics of settings I liked (pic 1) and told him, I wanted an oval stone. The finished product was all him and my dad - they did a greaty job!! (pic 2)

We went shopping together, and I got exactly the ring I wanted
we hardly spoke about the ring and the engagement was really a SURPRISE. I would, occassionally drop hints about rings I liked, but it was odd because he sort of went out on his own and chose something and it is amazing...it really is perfect for me. I just wanted something that you don't see everyday and he nailed it.
after we decided we wanted to get married i said i need a ring and started looking at things and price shopping. i knew i wanted something exactly like my mothers and from there we went together to a diamond wholesaler. we chose (ok i chose ) the exact stone. i then went shopping for a jeweller who would do exactly what i wanted. i was really picky and i found one that was reputable and for the right price. we gave the stone to the jeweller and he did what we designed and it was ready in a few weeks. the waiting killed me, but FH surprised me by getting it early.
the ring wasnt much of a surprise, b/c i designed it, but the proposal was and i couldnt be more happier.
we were engaged before i got the ring. kind of strange, but our situation was strange as well....
it is a round brillant stone with a baguette on each side, a classic setting, but i always loved my mom's ring.
