your favorite Long Island wedding magazine ? (with poll)

what magazines have you found to be most helpful?

where did u find your vendors? (hair, makeup, band/dj, flowers, etc)

When I first got engaged, I went and bought a ton of bridal magazines. I found some dresses in them that I want to go try on.

But, NOTHING has been as helpful, useful, and (certainly) addictive, as LIW

I've gotten info about ALL of my vendors on here, good and bad, and made many decisions based on reviews by past, present, and future brides.

I've been buying wedding mags since 2006, if not earlier, I was engaged in 2008.
I think I like the martha stewart one best, but I don't see new ones that often, also the knot, bride, modern bride, etc.
I usually just go in to walgreens and look to see if there are any new ones, as I own TOO many!
It is more of an obsession then anything. I've found myself buying them, laying in bed with joe and watching tv while glancing at a page or even just flipping through the page without looking!

I like the mags when it has dresses, but I have yet to find THE DRESS in any of them.

I love love wedding magazines! I love the ones with New York Bride, New Jersey Brides, and LI brides b/c I love reading stories of local brides and reception halls.

I hate BRIDE bc I feel that all it is advertisements for wedding dreses!!

New Yorker Bride, The Knot, Instyle are all really nice and sometimes helpful

I was even so nuts that I spent $20 on an Italian Vogue called Sposa bella, well worth the money bc its over 1,000 pages!! I speak/ read Italian

exactly I feel the magazine has tons of pictures but everything is ugly in the bridal world!
