Your FH/DH Past?

Is there anything from his past that you wish wasn't there.Or wish you didn't know about?

I am happy that I know everything!
I think his past is what allowed him to come so far with himself and become teh wonderful boy he is!

I know all about his past as he does mine. I am happy I know about it, it made him the person he is today who I love to pieces.

I don't know if that's I wish it wasn't there or more that I can't believe it is there!!!!!!!! He was a meaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan teenager (you would never know it now)...but I can't change what he did - I fell in love with the man he is now.

And I'm not proud of my past...and there are some things he doesn't want to know....he has an idea, but not the whole story.

I also think we are somewhat entitled to some skeletons in our closet...

No.

His past has helped him become the man he is.

We know all about eachother's past & there's nothing I wish was different or not there - his past is what developed him into the man that I eventually met and fell in love with. It's all good.

Re: Your FH/DH Past?

I know everything about his past, especially since he has a child and we are very open with each other about our history.

I've told him things I've done even tho' I wish I hadn't. I've even told him things that might make him not want to be with me.

But like mentioned, our past makes us who we are today. Our mistakes as bad as they may be, shape us for the future and make us a better partner now.

So, I'm glad he made his mistakes and I made mine, so now we can be the best for each other

Re: Your FH/DH Past?

Only on a need to know basis. When I knew that things were really serious between us I had a long sitdown with DH and told him some things from my past that I felt either might have a bearing on our relationship or might come up somewhere later down the road and cause problems. We talked it all out and that was the end of them. No more discussion necessary. He has no such skeletons so there was nothing for him to tell me!!

We know what we need to know about one another, but there is no reason for either of us to know details of long ago boyfriends/girlfriends, or stupid teenage behavior (mine all mine). He is aware that I have a somewhat spicy past (much of which I am not thrilled with), but doesn't care since I am a totally different person today. As far as he is concerned that is all that matters. I know that he grew up in a 'Leave it to Beaver' family and that he was always a good boy ! I expect that we will always be finding things out about each others past. It makes for fun conversations!

His past is a part of him and it doesn't bother me.

We have an agreement.....What, Who or with Whom is in the past and that is where it should be left. I believe that there are some things that are sacred and should not be shared. He doesn't need to know every little detail about my past or my life with my parents. I believe that these experiences shape(d) us in becoming the people we are today and that is the person that he fell in love with!

not really. We both have our pasts. There were a few things that shocked me.

we know everything about the other's past and although there are probably one or two things that we would change, there is nothing you can do about it and we don't harp on it. the past is the past. thank God there is nothing major that would cause the other to have a hard time forgetting/forgiving! It definetely shaped us both into the people we are and it helped us to be able to love each other and appreciate our endless love! (I'm so cheesy!)

I am such an open book, so he knows mine and I know a lot about his. A lot things I still don't know but I figure that is what I will learn by living with him.
