FH calls my parents Mr. and Mrs. C*****s or by their first names. I just avoid calling his parents by any name (kind of like that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond)
I always thought I'd call my FMIL & FFIL 'mom' and 'dad' but I just can't seem to say it.

I already call them mom and dad... so that will continue. Although FH calls my parents by their first names....

I call them by their names but it took two years to get there! Be patient - it doesn;t matter what you call them as long as you are comfortable.

LOL!!!!!!! I completely ALWAYS avoid calling them ANYTHING and when I have to I really struggle to come up with it and then just go with Mr. & Mrs. despite the fact that they've been leaving me voicemails 'hi its mom and dad' for two years!!! I also just can't seem to say it outloud!

My FH's mom passed but his dad always tells me to call him Dad...I just don't feel comfortable. I call him Mr. Franzese but might start calling him by his first name...I just can't do the Dad thing.

LOL i also avoid calling them anything, and FH does the same for my parents. If I ever have to call them by a name for any reason I usually just go for the first names since thats how they refer to themselves if I'm talking to one of them. But yeah i dont know if i will be able to do the mom and dad thing. Just seems weird.

I pretty much avoid calling them anything. On cards and Christmas tags I write their first names but I will try everything to avoid having to call them by anything.

I call his mom 'Momi' cause thats actually her nickname. lol Makes it easy for me. (thats how she spells it too...Momi.)

I call them Roc (for Rocco) and Roe (for Roseann) now but when we get married that will change.

Im not really sure what to call them lol...though I know it wont be mom and dad....my mom is the type who wants her inlaws to call her mom but would be up set if her children called anyone else mom !

I call FH's dad ( his mom has passed on sadly) by his first name... him and FH are kind of on and off sometimes, so it hasn't reached a point where i call him dad yet. But FH will call my mom ..mom .. or mama to be silly sometimes.. I do call the rest of his family Aunt or Uncle, or refer to them as my cousins..etc. I've been doing it since we were only together a few months only because we all just hit it off SOOOO Well.. and FH calls my Grandmother Grandma..etc.

youa re my FH.. he doesnt use names.. my mom has even told him to call her 'first name',. Mrs.... ' or 'mom' and NOTHING my parents get really abboyed by it and think its rude.
I call his parents by their first name... always have. not sure if i will use mom/dad his mom would NEVER ask me to
but his grandfather.. i call grandpa his aunt/uncles i refer to them in convo as AUnt.... or Uncle.... but when i talk to them i use their first name.

i call them by their first names, FH does the same. Since i met them, and FH met my parents its always been on a first name basis

I used to avoid calling them anything and waiting for eye contact to ask any question but now its by first name. I actually think that FH for so long did the same thing to my mom he actually had to ask me again what her name was!!!!! and weve been together for 4 yrs!!
