Are you having your girls get the same style BM gowns as your gown?? For example, if your dress is strapless, are you planning on getting strapless BM dresses?? Or are you also having your girls get the same silhouette as your gown?
Originally I wanted my girls to get the same neckline as my gown; however, I think I may be leaning towards getting different styles. My dress is strapless, so I'm thinking of having my girls get a gown with straps. I feel a little torn on this though because I do like the uniformity when everyone has the same neckline. However, I also like how if the BMs have a different neckline it allows the bride's dress to stand out a little more and be different. One area that will def be the same is my dress is a-line and I def want my girls to have a-line as well.

Re: Your gown vs. BM gowns
I think the overall look should go together but they don't necessarily have to be matchy matchy.
Like if you have a SUPER fancy ball gown that's really fancy then the girls are in dresses that are very plain and subtle and not at all dressy then it doesn't mesh well together. They should be along the same lines of fanciness and overall look. They should compliment eachother. And they def don't have to be the exact same... like if you have pick ups they don't have to have pick ups, etc.
My dress was strapless and we made it sweetheart. The girls were strapless straight across. They had pick ups, I didn't. My dress was all lace and beading. They complimented eachother nicely without competing or making one look plain and boring and the other really fancy and done up. kwim?
I think it's more important to pay attention to the overall look of the dress rather than just what the top part is like.

Re: Your gown vs. BM gowns
My dress is strapless with lace, a trumpet bottom, and a sweetheart neckline.
My BM's dress are satin with a trumpet like bottom and straps.
Both MOH's are in satin but one is in straps and the other is a strapless; both with a trumpet like bottom also.
So, the only similarity is the bottom between all of our dresses.

Re: Your gown vs. BM gowns
All my girls are getting different style dresses in the same color, length and fabric, other than that, they can choose whatever dress they want, my dress is asymetrical and my MOH's is as well, that's about the only commonality.
