How involved has your MOH been with your planning and everything?
My MOH is on LI and I am in FL so that makes things a little difficult but she has not been involved in any aspect of my planning, except she came with me to try on BM dresses. She doesn't call me to see how my planning is going or anything at all. I think I am being oversensitive but I really wish she was more involved.

I feel the same way about my MOH. I love her to death but I feel like she doesnt care sometimes...she never really asks how things are going with the planning. I just keep thinking it's because the wedding is so far away. Maybe that has something to do w/ it?

Re: Your MOH
Not very- she was SO excited at first, but life gets in the way. I understand though she's a hard lady to track down to go dress shopping. She just moved last week so I'm hoping now we'll be able to go soon.
Do you have other people who can help you out? Like your mom or your sister or FILs? I know my mom and my sister are my rocks and my FSIL is ready to go to anything and everything with me if I'd ask her.

Re: Your MOH
mine is in Israel. and she was really not involved with anything, and we had a lot of fights where she would say I am obsessed with the wedding. and when I would vent to her about anything wedding related she wouldnt even respond. took a lot of months to finally talk like mature ppl to each other and realize that the whole thing was blown out of proportions and we just totally misunderstood each other. now its ok, I guess. I tell her stuff and she tries to be more inquisitive.
she is really excited about me getting married, and was the one who kept saying that she is just waiting for FH to propose from the very 1st date. I guess the distance and the waiting time, what made her a bit more reserved.

Re: Your MOH
My sister is my MOH and she lives in FL...so we're dealing with the same distance issue. She's also younger than I am - she's 22 and I'm 28. However, she was engaged once before and planning a wedding, so she's been some help with some smaller details. She'll be here in a week and I'm going to take her to lunch at the place I want to have my shower at and we're going BM dress shopping with the other girl in my BP. Honestly though, I am doing a lot of it on my own out of choice. She's in FL and my best friend (my BM) is in school and working.

Re: Your MOH
My MOH is my SIL and she is beyond wonderful. She is doing so much for me and the wedding. She is always there for me to vent about things if they are going wrong and I always ask her opinions on things before I get them. She always truthful with me and just doesnt say the things she knows I want to hear. She is not only my MOH and my SIL- she is more of a sister to me than if I had one.

Re: Your MOH
I know how ur feeling! I have two MOH's and one of them is my sister. She doesnt seem to care all that much about anything... I called her yesterday to talk about E-pics and as I was speaking she started talking to her bf about the chicken she was eating and then asked to call me back - which she didnt. But thats why I have two MOH - the other listens and asks questions and seems a little more interested.

Re: Your MOH
To be honest, she hasn't been very involved at all. And honestly it bothers me a lot. Atleast one my bm's is way more excited about it so I told her the other day that she is my true MOH and I meant it. I was kind of obligated to choose my best friend but she's really busy so she doesn't have time.

After Election Day she will be the greatest MOH ever, but up until then she has been a little preoccupied with her campaign.

Re: Your MOH
Both of my MOHs have been amazing. One lives in PA, but when I went there, she surprised me w/ dress shopping appts. My MOH that lives here ALWAYS asks what's new w/ the wedding and always offers to help.

Re: Your MOH
I havent really asked anything of my MOH. When I go dress shopping, she will come, but that's all I really want for her to do. I have the other stuff covered with FH and my mom

Re: Your MOH
Mine are my sisters and they are semi-involved. They both came with me for my gown, BM dresses, and each one came to a bridal show with me.
That's been pretty much it so far though, but I also haven't really asked much else of them.

Re: Your MOH
I am pretty much doing everything myself and I ask both of my maids of honor what they think about an idea and thats how they are involved....i think that i am a little anal haha but this way, they don't have to feel like they are totally responsible for too much since it is my wedding and all....don't be stressed or sensitive about it because sometimes it is kind of hard to just jump in there and get involved and the distance is a lot between you two so maybe that is part of it.

Re: Your MOH
My MOH is my best friend. She has been amazing. She calls on a daily basis to see how the wedding stuff is coming. She is always prepared to go with me whenever I need her. I couldn't ask for more. My BM's on the other hand thats another story.
