Your most miserable date with FI.

OUrs was during our trip to Hawaii! There are 2 specific incidents!

1. We were going to go to the Big Island to take a helocopter ride over an active volcano...Brian had a free flight voucher, which he left in the hotel room safe...so we had to pay over $500 for this intraisland flight......when we get there we asked were was the heliport....no one knew what we were talking about....so we rented our car for the day.....we end up driving around, and finally stop outside a strip club and use the pay phone...only to find out that FI booked the flight to the WRONG ISLAND!!!!!! We jumped back on a return flight back to Maui...I was ****ed!!!

2. We went to the Old Lahina Luau, and we park our car...as we walk away...I asked Brian if he heard that funny noise....turns out, FI locked the keys in the car with the car running! I had a great time at the luau with a bunch of half naked Hawaiian men getting me drinks and dancing with me, while FI was outside with a coat hanger trying to break into the car!!!

Re: Your most miserable date with FI.

we had a fight earlier in the day but had promised our friends we would still meet them at the bar (our friends wife was bartending and it was a huge bar night getting the gang all their)

The fight carried over to the night out and we had a huge argument in the middle of the bar.

We later made up, but the whole evening was miserable

Re: Your most miserable date with FI.

It wasn't a date - it was a camping trip....

Got in a HUGE fight during a card game in front of all our friends. He made me sooooooooo mad - seeing red mad - that I screamed I HATE YOU at the top of my lungs and punched him in the arm (so unlike me).......to make matters worse, he literally blew on his arm and just wiped it off!!!

I stormed to the tent crying hysterically!!!!!!!

That was one of the worst nights of my life!!!!

Well, he askes me out on a friday to go out to dinner on tuesday. When tuesday came I was bed ridden with a bad cold and had to cancel. He though I wanted nothing to do with him. So that weekend I ran into him at the flea market and he said he was in a suit and had 2 dozen roses for me. I was so upset.

marni!! Ican't imaginethat from you!!!

Alicia!! I'm sorry, but you have me laughing with your expletives!!!

Ours happened after I had been on a 13-hour flight from Japan, in the middle seat with noone who spoke English around me...

We got into JFK 30 min early and I crusied through immigration and customs...DH was supposed to pick me up...being that we hadn't seen each other in one month...when I got out He wasn't there!!! I was so ****ed I didn't even bother to call his cell phone...I even thought that he was trying to blow me off...so I went home and wouldn't answer any of his phone calls...until I decided to call him and reem him out! and he came rushing over!!!

His side: there was traffic...I was early...and the cab took him to the wrong terminal...He waited there for an hour with flowers looking in every time the doors opend...until someone from United told him everyone was out... He called me...my mom...and thought that I hadn't made it out, b/c there was a typhoon that was heading right towards China and Japan right before I left (and I was stressing that I wouldn't be able to make it)

now everytime he is suppose to pick me up from anywhere...he tells me..'And don't leave without me!!!'

Re: Your most miserable date with FI.

Our most miserable date was more misery on my side and worry on his. It was the middle of July and we went to an airshow in Rhode Island with his best friend and his wife and kids and my son. It was about 92 degrees that day and we were walking around on a hot black tarmac.

I am really fairskinned and have to use lots of sunblock. Because I was sweating and it was so hot I kept smearing it on me all day. Just as the biggest act 'The Blue Angels' were about to fly, I got really dizzy and ran to one of the refreshment tents begging them for water or ice. I could feel my knees getting weak and I thought I was going to fall over so I leaned over the counter and told them to just pour the water on my head!!!! Well they called the medical people and an ambulance came and all of these people suddenly surrounded me!!! Meanwhile Mr. Nosey (who was so busy looking at the planes that he hadn't noticed I was missing) comes wandering over to see what all the commotion was. He is a paramedic (it's what he does for a living) so when he saw the ambulance he was of course curious and came over to see what was going on. And what does he see????? ME!! sitting on a bench with my shirt up practically over my head, blood pressue cuff on, cold towels on my face, with a crowd of people around me!!! Talk about embarrassing. I sooooo wanted to just die!!

So off I go in the ambulance, to the medical tent where they put in an IV and told me that I had heat exhaustion. The doctor told me that I put on so much sunblock that I clogged up my pores to the point where my body couldn't release sweat. On top of that I didn't drink enough water. They ended up giving me 2 IV bags of fluid to rehydrate me!!!

About the only good thing that came out of all this was that they all had to walk a mile back to the car and I got chauffered back in an Army Jeep!!!! To this day (almost 6 years later) I still get teased by all of them about the day that I 'swooned'!!!!
