Pretty sure I feel exactly the same way as you do. I don't wanna sound b*tchy here but his name is long and polish and I hate it. There are 12 letters and only 2 are vowels. Plus I really like my name.

haha my FH is 100% romanian...he was born in the US but his parents are from there. His last name is Florea- I heard it is very Romanian. So I am gladly taking my FH's last name

Yeh...what's awesome with me is that I always wished for a 100% Italian guy so that I can keep a 100% Italian last name and keep our kids Pedigrees lol I got what I wanted, that's for sure! lol Our kids are gonna pop out saying , 'How youuu doiinnnnnn?'

That's a pretty last name though.
FH has a REALLY Irish last name--McGinnis, so on paper people would expect this really white girl, but they're getting an Asian one! Since my great-grandfather was Irish, they all say I'm bringing the Irish back!

I think I am adding his last name and then going to use them both on and off... I am not ready to give up my name, and for professional reasons I won't be changing it at work.
BUT -- FH and I are both Irish, and my last name is VERY Irish. But his grandfather was adopted so his last name sounds Italian - without a drop of Italian blood in the family!
And since I am actually 1/4 Italian if we have kids they will be the first in his entire family to have the Italian sounding name and actual Italian blood!!

I going from a 6 letter last name, to another 6 letter last name. His is a little easier to spell and pronounce.
Mine is Italian and His is Jewish.
My first name has 6 letters as well. I Love that it will still be even!!!

My last name now is okay, but, it gets easily confused. I am going from a plain (I think British?) last name, to a Eastern European Slavic last name, that most people can't pronounce!

Definately happy about my name change... I'm going from a Lithuanian last name that no one can ever pronounce correctly to one of the most common last names in America... Miller! Very excited, lol
