I'm going from an 8 letter last name that most people can spell and pronounce to a 3 letter last name that almost NO ONE can pronounce or spell (everyone adds letters to his last name!)
But I'm glad my last name is getting shorter!

I'm not in love with my soon-to-be new last name but i'm too traditional to not take it so i have to just deal. My FH did give me one of the Tiffany letters when we got engaged in a 'h'...first letter of his last name...he is too cute :)

i don't mind my new last name - it will be easier for people to pronounce, but they'll be expecting an irish/scottish person, and here i am - half indonesian, half eastern european! at least my initials don't change.

Im taking FH's last name and I have absolutely no problem taking it, love his last name. The only funny thing is after i take his last name my initials will be D.I.E ...its gonna be funny when we sign papers such as when you buy a house and you have like 50 pages of just putting your initials on the bottom they will all say DIE

Girls, my mom's co-worker's daughter married a guy who had the last name of PINDICK....I kid you not....so don't feel bad!

I couldn't wait to change my name. I went from a 9 letter last name that hardly anyone could spell or pronounce, to a 5 letter last name that everyone can spell and pronounce. Plus, my new last name makes me sound even more Irish!!

i mostly like his last name. but i am all italian and he is mostly italian and some german- yet his last name is german - i wish it could be italian

but it will be wierd. Im 100% italian and my last name is italian. but FH is 50% italian and the rest is all scandanavian. His last name is norweign.

I'm taking it, but it aint pretty...lol But im taking it because its the first time i get a choice... i dont know the man whose last name i was given at birth, and i was adopted by my 'dad' when i was 10 and was given his last name, tho i didnt find out til i was 21 that all that had gone on....yes very confusing... I thought he was my biological father because he was around since i was one, but my parents didnt tell me till i was 21.... but anyhoo its the first time i have a say, and thats sweet to me
