your new last name

hey girls, after a conversation last night, I got to thinking. Do any of you have reservations about what your last name is going to be after you're married? Like, does anyone think, 'wow, that just doesn't flow well' or 'it doesn't sound right'? I feel like that all the time and there was never a moment where I thought I wasn't going to take FH's name, but when I think about what my full name will be it just seems too weird!

I hate it!!! i love love love my italian last name and he ha a stupid german last name that doesnt even sound like its spelled... I make fun of him for it all the time!!!



I have that same problem too!! No one will know I am Italian once I change it over Everyone says it like Jesus Christ even though it is not pronounced that way.

I have been married for five months today =) and I still have not changed my name over. I opened up a bank account under it and got a military id with it, but that is it. I think it bothers my husband, but he does not realize what a pain in the a** it is to change everything over!!!

my last name is so much easier. and i'm constantly giving my email and name and stuff at work so to keep my last name (Ryan) would be so much easier.

not to mention, Cassie Ryan sounds soooo much better then Cassie Canepa.

but whatever =x we fight about if i'll take his name or not allllll the time.

i might keep Ryan for work and change it to Canepa for everything else. Havent decided yet.

I like it but I'm so used to scribbling my innitials AM on everything work related and I dont think the A and the D connect as nicely as the A does with the M, if that makes sense.

i hateeee my new last name i really dont want to change it but FH wants me to...his name is a veryyyy common name. mine is Italian but not common at all and it flows wel =)
its so hard to give up a name ive had all my life lol

my last name is italian, yet my first name is Megan...so when i take my FH's name (Cunningham) I'll be soooo irish....

and yes, my friends have already had their fun calling him richie cunningham...hehe

I love my last name its just I also love my initials its DD and now its going to be DP and I am italian he is greek and his name is so Greek and i guess i could pass for greek so everyone is going to see my name and assume I am greek too. Not that is matters that much but I keep telling FH i am sticking with my name and he gets mad haha.

heh! i'm going from irish to seasoning or vegetable LOLLLLL i can't believe my last name is going to be Pepper.

that's awesome! I wish FH would take mine... he technically has my current last name as part of his right now but his is 12 letters long.. I wish he could just abbreviate!

I had reservations at first about dropping my last name...I just love it. But it would be way too long if I kept mine and his so I think I am just going to take his.....

I am fine with changing my last name. I am losing vowels and gaining consonants but keeping it Italian.

LMAO!!! who would have thought? i wonder what i come with if i put in ryan-pepper? I'll give that a shot.
