Im using Duet for photo and video. I picked my photographer, because I just loved his pictures. His video had me in tears, and I just knew it was right. I booked so far in advance that his prices have gone up twice all ready so Im not sure what they are asking for these days. No matter who you go with, follow your gut feeling. And always, always, always check the BBB for any complaints.

BBB = Better Business Bureau. You can go to their website and see whether a business has had complaints against it and how many.
I'm using Anthony Vazquez from Perceptions for photo. His photos really blew me away. He is a photojournalist but his photos aren't too 'artsy' like some of the other photojournalists I'd seen. He also has a great personality since he's on the younger side. He's defintely someone I'd want to hang out with for 8 hours on my wedding day.
ETA: He also uses film, rather than digital, which we liked. If you want a digital photographer though, I'd really recommend Creative Compositions. They were the only other place we were considering. Good luck!

We also booked Duet because we felt they were so accomodating and easy to work with. We liked their combo of B&W and colored pics, candids and posed shots. They are giving us so much for our money.

This is how we feel about our photographer, but we are using Twelfth Night. I loved their personality, style and the fact that they use film and digital and you get ALL negatives and proofs.

We used Jovon and Matthew was our photographer and Giovanni (Jovon's son!) our second at the wedding. Here are our engagement pictures:

We are using Twelfth Night. We will have two photographers, one for 10 hours, one for five and we are paying $2200. That does not include albums or thank yous though!

We are using Duet. I just thought the quality of their work was wonderful and the price, given the amount of stuff that you get, was too good to pass up.
And the video made me cry too!

We're using Verdi. I didn't get to choose my hall so I figured I would splurge a little and get a great photgrapher. I haven't heard one complaint about them, and I absolutely love their work.

I loved my photographer. We used Chuck and Dennis from Artisan Photo Group. They make a great pair. We went to lots of photographers to find one who would give us everything we wanted. There are lots of packages to choose from and after you've settled on a basic one, Chuck is very flexible to customizing it to your exact needs. My proofs were great and they were wonderful to work with. I had my pictures about 2 weeks after the wedding--over 1000+ proofs that don't have the companies names stamped across the front so you can display them too. Our friends also used them and were extremely happy. Good Luck!

We're using Patken for photo and video. I knew right away that I wanted to book with them. I loved thier pictures and felt extremely comfortable with everything.

We are using Wedding One group. Their style is a lot like Duet's. We are getting a digital album, 2 cloned smaller parents albums, 2 photographers on wedding day, engagement shoot, 225 thank you cards, and signing board for under 3500.
We felt it was a great deal and we loved their albums!

we are using imagine studios. i did a ton of internet research on photographers, and narrowed it down to a few that did artistic, photojournalistic photography. when we visited imagine studios we were BLOWN AWAY by how artistic lia's shots are. not to mention that she and her husband, nelson (who does video), are so wonderfully nice and down to earth. we booked them on the spot!

Visual Image. My dad used to be a photog assitant and I remember seeing the albums they made when I was a kid and how beautiful they were. I told my dad, after I got engaged, That I wanted to go see 'that guy'
