WHen we went the photographer mad eus feel very at ease. He was the only one that showed us all proofs from a wedding he had done the following weekend and out of about 800 proofs, there were only maybe 50 that we weren't crazy about. Also he seemed to intimately know his brides and their families. As we looked through his pictures he has a story about eah person in the photos and was very proud of his work. He and his work just blew us away.

I am using Ray from B rett M atthews. The reason I booked them was because my friend had used them and after seeing her album, I knew it was the place for me. I checked out 3 other photographers, all of which were around the same price, but the quality was very different. With BM I am getting 2 Photographers and an Assistant for less then the price I was quoted by another company which was giving me just one photographer and an assistant. One Photographer (Ray) takes all the formal Pictures and the other photographer takes all the black and white photo-journalistic pics.
Also, they included a free engagment photo session wher he used 2 rolls of film and we got to keep all the picutures..
They have been WONDERFUL To deal with. Susan that works in the office is GREAT!!

12th Night - great price, awesome quality. Best of both worlds as they shoot digital and film and you get all negatives and proofs back. Good luck - photo is the hardest choice of all.

I'm using Bernadette of BTC Photography because she was personable, her own entity and her work was wonderful. I called her on a referral from someone on here and fh and i fell in love with her..we can't wait to work for her

Visual Concepts-Bob and Debbie are the best. Very Talented and they have packages to accomodate any budget.
And yes I'm getting married in 18 months and almost everything is booked!

We used Paul Marino-who is now Millimeter--Paul is still the photographer though---we also had michael do all digital photojournalism b & w's. they came out amazing! very pleasant to work with!
that is a beautiful sari!!! did you find it online?? I have been scouring the internet and have not come up with much. Any other sites you might recommend for sari's?

you can try sheetalindia.com, roopam.com seasonsindia.com, homeindia.com, if you go to the indian-desi thread, I think some of the girls posted other sites too.

Great Price , Lots of experience in the business over 18 years and there pics were great
b/c she is so nice and humble---didn't try to force anything on us like other photographers (i actually had one shove a contract at us to sign before we had even stated we were going to book with them).
her portfolios were beautiful. we already had our e-pics and loved them.
good luck! photography is one of the most important vendors imo.

We used Photos of the Heart in Mt. Sinai. We already got our proofs back, and they are beautiful! They did great work, and got every shot I asked for.
