Your prayers and well wishes are WORKING!!!!

I called the agency today and asked them a couple of questions!!! What takes the longest to complete a hometudy in NJ is the fingerprints..so by the time the whole study is complete, it should be mid January, Feb at the latest..BUT the agency said that once the homestudy is written up, our sovial worker can fax a rough draft just saying that she apporves it and they will place an informal hold on our child, as soon as the finger prints come in..we can start sending him pictures and gifts! So now, instead of waiting until Mid January or February, there is a possibility that by Christmas I will know for sure who my child will be!!!! Also, they are sending me his background file, with medical etc for me to review, with pictures of him, I should get it next week. I have so much energy from exciotement I think I need to go to the gym..I cant believe that in less than a month, I may know exactly who will be ours. I also inquired about one of his friends, a boy he plays soccer at the orphanage..they will send me his info as well. We would love to adopt them together..what a nice bond they will have forever!!! I am so excvited I dont know what to do with myself!!!! To those of you who have said prayers...THANKYOU>>>>TRULY>>THANKYOU>>>God is listening and speeding up thr process!!!! Once all is said and approved how much longer will it take for your child to be here with you? Couple of months? I hope it's a quick waiting time for you

Thank you so much!!! I THINk the process should work like this..we may hopefully have an informal hold on the boys HOPEFULLY by Christmas, the boys will not know anything until our fingerprints and child abuse checks come in, then our hold will be a formal hold where we can send them pictures of us and gifts, etc. Then we have to go through Immigration and get fingerprinted AGAIN, this takes 8-10 weeks, meanhwile our paperwork is sent to Ethiopia and has to be processed there. because the boys are older, the wait will not be so long, we should most likely expect to travel in May or anytime in the summer, I dont see it take any longer tahn that! I woudl Love May because then I could be with them the entire summer, hopefully establishing a nice trusting relationship with them and preparing them for school, maybe go over math, numbers, etc. Then they could start school in August, right now I THINK they are in the first and second grade, so I will have to find out how the school system here views that and how they handle this adoption process within their classroom. I feel like Im in dream...once that informal hold is placed..I will feel much more relaxed..then Ill know they are mine. I cant wait to go to Ethiopia and bring them home!!!! i have been following your posts (former lurker) and i wanted to tell you that you and your DH are ONE AMAZING COUPLE!

I hope God Blesses you with both of the two boys and in time for Christmas! Any child you are able to adopt and love is going to be one of the luckiest children in the world!

Im so happy for you and you bring tears to my eyes everytime i read your posts

Dont know if you thought about it but you should print out these posts and put them in a scarpbook for your babies to be to see one day when they are older! I bet it would mean so much to them and to you and DH!

They will know what special parents they have and that all of us are praying for them to make it to your home ASAP!!!

You guys are making me cry!!! You are so sweet and coming here for support is so great for me..you help me so much! Not everyone is so supportive, our families and friends are extremely supportive which I am so thankful, but I hear ignorant comments now and then that kind of bothers me, but they arent in my house, living my life, so deep down I dont give a **** what they have to say, but still..its amazing to come here and read the wonderful things you guys write. I am going to start a journal for my boys, just as soon as I KNOW they will be mine, but I hadnt thought of printing up these posts!!! What a great idea!!! Thank you for that great idea..I am going to do that!!!! Once we are able to place a hold on these boys, I will post pictures of them. They are beautiful children, with the biggest beautiful eyes and cutest smiles.
Our social worker may not approve us to adopt two boys, we only have one extra bedroom right now, I was thinking bunk beds..but we still have to go through her first. I am going to call her again tonight, I did mention it during our homestudy visit and she didnt really say yes or no. Well anyhow..thanks again!!! You guys are so sweet!!!!!!

You guys keep making me cry!!!!
We arent selfless people..we are selfish people,we want all those kids...we are greedy.. thats why we are adopting more than one child!! Wed adopt more if we could.if we had more space and more money!!! This is such a miracle though..God is really answering my prayers...please keep those prayers coming..that I dont lose my friggin mind with the waiting and wondering. I want these boys to find a home..I just really want it to be my home..I dont want anyone else to adopt them..I am very selfish..I want em all to myself. I actually read a post on a chat board for adopting from Ethiopia and the lady was asking about a 7 year old boy..I automatically assumed she was talking about MY boy..so I asked her and its a completely different child....YEA!! Im getting very greedy..I dont want anyone even considering adopting these boys!!!!! I cant thank you all enough. Its so nice to read all of your supportive posts..and to go through this with such sweet, enthusiastic people!!! Its amazing to me because I planned my wedding with you and now my adoption and through it all you have been sucha supportive group of beautiful people!!!!
