Your prewedding jitters vs FH's

Is it only me or are you all having the same experience? My wedding is 7 weeks and 3 days away and my stomach has butterflies and I am really excited and nervous about getting married. When I ask my fh if he is nervous he says no, I asked if he was excited and he said Yeah and continued to watch his sports on tv. Are all of the men like this? I know he is looking forward to it but why am I the only one getting butterflies and not him?

try 24 days away and starting to stress - not over the marriage part just the wedding and paying for it all part

I think the FHs just don't want to admit it.

Re: Your prewedding jitters vs FH's

That's because we brides are the stars of the show!! I don't see many grooms wearing thousands of dollars tuxes or spending a small fortune on their hair and makeup. For God's sake, some of them rent their freakin shoes!!!

Re: Your prewedding jitters vs FH's

I have been excited since Dave put the ring on my finger in April '01. I have been nonstop thinking about the wedding and he has been kind of passe about it.

He's not interested in any of the planning, so I've been taking my mom and his mom around to everything.

He's been really quiet lately (we're getting married in July) and he said he has a lot on his mind. His feeling is that I have to worry about the wedding day and he has to worry about every day after that for the rest of our lives. So, he's putting a lot of pressure on himself about the future. I think he's nervous, but he just doesn't seem as excited as me.

I think we both can't wait to be married and finally living our lives together.

Re: Your prewedding jitters vs FH's

I was extremely nervous and my husband was not. He was fine through it all. I was fine after the ceremony started. Then I really enjoyed everything. But the weeks even months prior, I was having nothing but nightmares. He was not nervous at all about any of it. I wasn't nervous thought about getting married, I was nervous of doing all of it in front of so many people. You're not the only one though!

Re: Your prewedding jitters vs FH's

We are opposite..I am like yeah whatever and he is the nervous one. Sure, I am getting a little stressed from running around and not having a free minute but I am not stressed about it. He is most stressed about the first dance and dancing with his mom.
