It had everything I wanted, A Gazebo, Garden and on teh water!!!

They gave us the best price and it's beautiful (nicer than some of the others we saw)!

what makes yours the one? We wanted somewhere on the water. It's absolutely beauitful & looks so classic. We walked in & I could see me & FH sharing our first dance in that room

I used to work for a photography studio in LI so I have pretty much seen every single places there is to have a wedding and knew that none of them was what I was looking for. I had never been to/heard of the Riviera before and when I saw it I knew it was THE place!

how many did you visit before you found the one?
like I said, A LOT, but if we are only counting after I got engaged and reaaaaaally started looking, only 1

what makes yours the one?
I love the atmosphere there... very quaint and cozy... it's right on the water... a lot of photos ops on site and the food is amazing!

How many did you visit before you found the one? Our hall was the first place we visited!!

What makes yours the one? I love how OFC is simple, elegant, and unique. I absolutely love the high vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors throughout the hall. Love the deck and that it is right on the water!! I also love how the chandeliers are simple and that they only have one wedding per day..you can choose when to have your reception start. I honestly just love everything about it! It truly is my dream RH!!!!

what makes yours the one?
I after I saw their bigger room, I fell in love with it. I began to compare the other venues I saw (and one I didn't see) with I@FH and in my mind, nothing compared. And the price fit right into my range. There were other venues that equaled the beauty, but didn't equal the cost, and that was a factor as well. Overall, best decision I made so far!

How many did you visit before you found the one? we saw 6 before - ours was the 7th...we loved it so much, I almost cancelled the appointment that I had after it, but I felt bad cancelling with such short notice

What makes yours the one?
OMG there are so many reasons...most importantly because its different. I love the mansion feel, not a lot of people have heard of it, its beautiful, classy, and charming. From all the reviews, I've read, the food is amazing, so I can't wait to try it!!

Flowerfield was the first one and I fell in love immediately. Nothing compared.

I love how it's different - not your typical wedding place but at the same time it's just incredibly 'upper class/classy' to me (IMO). Very expensive but well worth it to me. Plus I have never head anyone say a single bad thing about it - whether online or in person anyone who has been there just raves about it.

OK I will be the one who has not actually picked a hall yet.
I have physically gone to 2 places thus far - the Sans Souci of Sea Cliff & Queens County Farm Museum.
I am dying to go visit the Riviera & Fox Hollow.

From the websites i love the location of Riviera on the water with the outdoor cocktail hour. For the Fox Hollow that Winter Garden Pavillion looks amazing!

If you all have any opinions about these places I'd love the feedback!

I just had a feeling as soon as I saw it. I could totally see us getting married outside there, and dancing in the ballroom. Plus the price was great, the people are great, and I feel at home there lol

We just got that feeling when we walked in. (Well I got the feeling the 1st time we walked in, it took FH one more visit to know that was the RH for us.)

1.. I did alot of research and my RH was top on my list already

1.... I just knew. It was like love at first sight


what makes yours the one?
it had everything FH and I wanted: chandeliers, comfort food, etc. we loved that it's not a typical bride's idea of the perfect venue. we were more concerned about the food and the cost honestly. our BM worked with us so much. I couldn't ask for anything more

-when i walked i instantly said this is it!...i just fell completely in love! iv always wanted to get married in an old mansion.

How many halls did we visit? Around 9

How did you know it was the one? It was the 4th place we saw and all 5 after that were getting compared to it.

What makes it the one? I loved it from the minute we walked it. The people that worked there, the full tour that they gave, answering all my questions and being just as great after waiting almost 3 months before we finally went back to neg a contract.

Oh yeah, and it didn't have that 'catering hall' feel even though more than one event goes on at a time

haha I don't think that's wrong - I feel exactly the same way! do they have any showcases or anything? I think I'm gonna try to go to a showcase at my hall - I can't wait to try the food!

I'm not sure if we're sticking with the same hall we starting with for wedding take 1, but
